According to Macworld (http://www.macworld.com/news/2006/07/10/gamerhood/index.php?lsrc=mwrss) and The Mac Observer (http://www.macobserver.com/gamingnews/2006/07/10.1.shtml), Aspyr announced development of The Gamerhood, a digital download store that will allow us [Mac users] to buy games and download them directly. Virtual doors are expected to open this Fall.
After holding our breath until we're blue in the face (and for our friends across the pond that are still holding their breath), this sounds like a welcome bit of news. I imagine brick-and-mortar might take a small hit but overall sales will likely be a heckuva lot higher.
