Is there going to be a demo released to satisfy our hunger until the game ships? Does anybody have an answer to this question?

I don't have an answer for you. A few months back Danny Boy said he'd give us a head-up when Firaxis starts playtesting, but I think that they've already started cause Dan Magaha already has a copy and is playing it. As to whether or not they'll let us in on market playtesting, I don't know that either.

I would, of course, assume that they'd have a demo version available for download once they release the final product.

I've also "heard" about some "beta" of Civ3 that might be "wandering" "somewhere" on several hotline servers. Eh eh eh. The "hunting" is open now, for me http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/smile.gif That might be, uh, "interesting"... ok ok these quotes are annoying but I'm very careful with what I'm saying.
