View Full Version : Instructions - Term 3
DaveMcW Jul 18, 2006, 05:20 AM Elected Officials for Term 3 should post their instructions here.
Please include a date (3120BC) or turn number (Turn 22) when possible. You can also give general orders like "explore this area" if you don't want to micromanage every turn.
If I don't see your instructions here I may look through other threads for them. Or I may make up my own. It depends on how busy I am. ;)
Memphus Jul 18, 2006, 07:14 AM Turn 42 2320 B.C.
Now for the next 3 turns there is alot of activity here and everything is precisely timed out to maximize commerce/food/hammers/ for the next 20 turns, the limiting factor is the library, and that rounding in the game. Ex: if we work 3 Fp's we get +15:science: but if we work 2 we get +13  So these orders are very crucial.

Memphus Jul 21, 2006, 06:10 PM Maybe moving Shadow tiger to The forest before healing would be the most prudent action? :)
I just looked at the screen shots now and if we are going to sit for 3 turns, why not move to the Southern forest for the added defensive bonus?
The last thing we want is for another animal to pop up to the south and us be in a no defensive bonus land :(

lost_civantares Jul 22, 2006, 12:45 PM Maybe moving Shadow tiger to The forest before healing would be the most prudent action? :) We need to get moving, we can't be sitting around for another 100 years (I love how the game counts years! :crazyeye:) waiting for the guy to heal. It should only be another 2-3 turns anyway, so it probably won't happen a barb that we won't meet while contining down this link of land.

Memphus Aug 25, 2006, 12:33 PM Dave Scratch those orders for this next turn
Attached is a save at our current point
I will go over it again tonight (5 hours from now) and come up with the best case. Basically another cottage first may still be better because as soon as we chop one forest we get the :unhealthy: penalty which. Either way we need two forests chopped, but I am still working out the maximization plan for it!
lost_civantares Aug 25, 2006, 12:56 PM Turn 54 1840 B.C.
:viking: Dark Puma (using DaveMcW's screenshots as a guide): North East, then fortify till settler comes.
Memphus Aug 25, 2006, 02:23 PM Would you consider moving NE and fortify on the hill? overall it gives a better line of sight, but it is up to you!
Memphus Aug 25, 2006, 06:00 PM Well I ran my simulations and guess what? Either way cottage or chop first the date is still 1340.
In that case since we havn't heard from Dave all day I will play the save since we only have ~7 hours left and I will go with the cottage first because that way we expend the least amount of hammers early on (in the event we get beaten to the Oracle) as we go at 1 per turn for the next couple of turns :goodjob:
Edit: No actually I won't I forgot to look at one key component GP points!! :(
I will ask for an extension and open the comments up in the general forum
