When I built some spaceship parts in a city and then suddenly had to change production to a City Improvement, the computer said that this was switching production! But in the Civilopedia it says that Spaceship Parts is City Improvement!! I don't understand...

Sorry I'm confused to admit I don't have a clue. I've never face such a bug(?). That's it. Must be a bug.

The system treats all three types of Space Ship parts as Wonders, not improvements.
The advantage of this is you can stockpile and use freights to build your spaceship without disbanding them or paying the 50% penalty for switching (as long as you still have a wonder to choose from on your production menu!) Just set production to the Wonder, move the freights into the city and pick Help Build Wonder until you have as many freights as you want, then Dont forget to switch production back to the SS part.
There are some who call me...Tim

Allright. But why are they in the Civilopedia as City Improvements! http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/mad.gif

Yes it's a bug but it's a documentation bug. It's not the only one either. There are discrepancies between the claimed and actual ADMs for some air units (I think missiles if I remember correctly). At least these are bugs that once learnt will never be a problem again, unlike the 255 city limit http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/frown.gif
Tim... good reminders, thank you. I suspect these Wonder tricks are little utilised by most people (like deliberately building the same wonder in two places while you wait for the required tech) just because they don't know about them. And why didn't you enter your sig in the off-topic signature contest? It's so simple, but it's one of my favourites. http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/smile.gif
