How can I ignore what the UN vote for? I'm going for a conquest victory and was looking forward to using ICBM's until the UN banned them :( But I wanna ignore that and go ahead anyway.

do you have those ICBM already built?
if yes, you can use them
if no, you won't bomb it's over, unless you can get the un to vote back.

Sadly no I didn't get any built. And I nearly had the vote too. I've taken out 4 civs already (pre-1700 AD) and I now have more votes in the UN that all future votes are mine.

I only have myself to blame for research the tech that gives the UN! Next time I'll avoid it ;)

if you turn off diplomatic victory will the AI still build the UN?

i'm pretty sure the AI isn't aware of turned off victory conditions = building SS parts with space race disabled.

who built the un?
who is the SG?

not researching the tech and/or not building the UN doesn't prevent any AI to build it

If you want to be the master, build yourself, be the SG. Noone tells you to submit the no nuke thing to the vote then...

I built the UN but, to be honest in this current game I'm pretty much assured a conquest victory as I'm attacking axe men, catapults and archers with Tanks and Gunships. I don't think any other AI will be research UN for quiet some time lol

what do you need nukes for:confused: ?

if you built the UN, if you have a majority of the votes, how on earth could a resolution come out that you didn't want?

Also, you might consider going up a few levels in difficulty. Axemen & Archers vs Tanks & Gunships? Something doesn't seem right. :D
