This is a city terrain based on mountains and hills only. I admit it's not perfect, but I'm happy with it.

Snow-Capped Mountains: Modern Center (Done)
Mountains: Old Center (Done)
LM Mountains: Harbour
Hills: Suburbs
LM Hills: Industrial Area

It works for me. It looks great Yoda, the one thing I have to say is that there are too many stadiums in it.

Could be one of them upload issues with the site, like before. I`ll wait a few days :)

I know, it is obvious that some squares appear more than others, I'm gonna move them around a little so the stadiums, and churches won't appear so often. :)

Okay, then it would be great.

This looks really promising. I like how the roads get smaller in the 'burbs.

Holy crap it looks lovely.

How will you accomodate "real" roads. I take it that the roads just now are part of the terrain graphics?

I won't. The scenario I plan to use the graphics for doesn't need roads, irrigation or mines. However if someone really wanted roads they could make it like traffic lights or something like that, though I'm not gonna do it.

That looks pretty nice

Reminds me of simcity-series.
Say, are those buildings in the cityview (which is not used in conquests anymore) graphics?

Fantastic. The cemetaries are really nice looking and as mentioned above, the narrowing streets further out is a nice touch.

Wow! This is some of the best city terrain I've seen. I like the way you used city view stuff, (why did they get rid of that anyway?)

This looks really great, YP.:goodjob: The only thing I don't really like is the amount of stadiums, as previously mentioned. Otherwise it's great.:)

I've just checked, and they still use the City Graphics, but I have Civ3 Complete, so it may be different.

I do know that if you have a custom scenario it won't show though.

Well, it works, but none of the PTW or C3C buildings or wonders show up. Firaxis just got lazy.

the parking lots are a very nice touch Yoda.

Of course, they are totally unrealistic. You should put a parking lot on a 1 tile island in the middle of the ocean, surrounded by barbarians, occupied by barbarians, the tile should be a mountain, all your unist should be modded to be "wheeled" and non-amphibious (just in case), for it to be a realistic "big city" parking lot. :crazyeye:

Incredible job

Just a little advice : in old european center, roads are much narrower and do not make a regular grid. It's much more anarchic. Well, I know some exceptions (Saint-Malo,...). But 99% of our old cities repsect that rule. Could you find a way to break that grid impression ?

@Stormie, this is very nice. I laughed a lot. But I have to disagree in one point: The tile shouldn´t be a mountain, but a vulcanoe to symbolize urban vandalism. :)

@ Yoda Power, this terrain is really amazing !

I'm glad so many people like it:) BTW the Stadium prob is already fixed.

I already did that actually, you can see how the old part town is not squared.

Yes, but IMHO it should be more anarchic, with narrower streets.

I think it looks chaotic enough. Not all cities have as crazy roads as those in Europe, :crazyeye:.

Well if I make the streets much more narrower they almost won't appear. :p

I defiently think my graphics has some probblems, but I don't plan on fixing them.

I'll probably post the finished version today btw.

Actually, it's impossible to have urban terrain that fits both european and american cities. Maybe my point of view is too eurocentric.

Nice work anyway :goodjob:
