Thats right, I took the time to make a brand new wonder movie for the game. I've tested it out extensively, and I'm particularly proud with how well it works.

At this moment, my only issue is the fact that I have to use Filefront to upload the program. I'd prefer to use the Database here; but it only allows up to 2mb. This program is unfortunately 8mb zipped, and I can't really compress it anymore. =(

Step #1: Download any one of the wonder files from the post below!

Unzip the .bik file into your "C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Custom Assets\art\movies\wonders\" folder.

These are movies that replace the wonder movies in the game. A couple borrow clips from the Civilization 2 wonder movies, but the majority of them come from documentary videos, or online videos of the famous places.

All of the wonder movies you see here are 27-29 seconds long at most.

Each of them has it's own unique to it, excluding the Pyramids, which I took from the Civilization 4 music folder. Thats something I plan to change later on in time, so don't get attached to the Pyramids video. =P

-- Click here to download the Stonehenge wonder movie. (http://files.filefront.com/StonehengeMoviezip/;5312044;;/fileinfo.html)

Stonehenge - Nope, not giving an example. Just download it. =P

-- Click here to download the Great Pyramids wonder movie. (http://files.filefront.com/GreatPyramidszip/;5312236;;/fileinfo.html)

Great Pyramids - Heres an example picture of the GP movie. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/Dairuka/Pyramids.jpg) This one is the most likely to be changed. I'm not particularly happy with the movie itself. I'll probably reshoot a different movie after I finish with the remainder of the Wonder Movies first.

-- Click here to download the Oracle wonder movie. (http://files.filefront.com/Oraclezip/;5312282;;/fileinfo.html)

The Oracle - Heres an example picture of the Oracle Movie. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/Dairuka/oracle.jpg)

-- Click here to download the Parthenon wonder movie. (http://files.filefront.com/Parthenonzip/;5312489;;/fileinfo.html)

The Parthenon - Heres an example picture of the Parthenon Movie. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/Dairuka/Parth.jpg)

-- Click here to download the Angkor Wat wonder movie. (http://files.filefront.com/AngkorWatrar/;5312687;;/fileinfo.html)

Angkor Wat - Bleah, no more examples.

-- Click here to download the Chichen Itza wonder movie. (http://files.filefront.com/ChichenItzazip/;5312800;;/fileinfo.html)

Chichen Itza - Nah... no preview. Even though the end frame for this particular movie is pretty darn nice looking. =P

-- Click here to download the Great Lighthouse wonder movie. (http://files.filefront.com/GreatLighthousezip/;5312961;;/fileinfo.html)

Great Lighthouse - I essentially took the Civilization 2 version, chopped it down to 27 seconds, and put in some different sound effects and music.

-- Click here to download the Colossus wonder movie. (http://files.filefront.com/Colossuszip/;5315596;;/fileinfo.html)

The Colossus - Example of the Colossus Wonder Movie (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/Dairuka/Colossus.jpg)
I did the same as the Great Lighthouse. I took the civ 2 version, chopped it to 27 seconds, and put in new music.

-- Click here to download the Hagia Sophia wonder movie. (http://files.filefront.com/HagiaSophiazip/;5315735;;/fileinfo.html)

Hagia Sophia - No Example. Personally I'm angry because I could only find small movies online, so they came out very grainy... None of my documentary videos had anything either. If anybody can help me find some better videos, please do so!

-- Click here to download the Hanging Gardens wonder movie. (http://files.filefront.com/HangingGardenszip/;5315853;;/fileinfo.html)

Hanging Gardens - No example. This one also comes from the Civilization 2 movie, with different and very fitting music. You'd be suprised how hard it is to find videos of wonders that no longer exist. ;)

-- Click here to download the Sistine Chapel wonder movie. (http://files.filefront.com/SistineChapelzip/;5316008;;/fileinfo.html)

Sistine Chapel - No Example. I'm particularly happy with the music and the quality of this video. I got it from a CBS documentary. =)

Will you make also wonder videos we users demand for our mods?

Demand? ;)

If you ask nicely, I have no problem with making videos for a person's mod.

Just note that it's very difficult to find good video footage, and good music for a fictional building and place, unless it's from a movie or a famous book of course...

Right now, I'm having a VERY hard time finding some decent ancient Khmer music in MP3 format for the Angkor Wat. It's all easy going pop music. I'm thinking of just using one of those for now, and redoing it later if I ever find any...

Edited: Anyhow, I'm tired, I'm going to take a break. Enjoy what wonder movies I've made so far, and please leave some feedback so I know what to change. If anybody knows of any sites with ancient music mp3 clips, please let me know. I prefer instrumental music to vocal.

Wow, I would've thought people would be jumping at the chance of having new wonder movies.

Anyhow, I picked up a bunch of new music for some of the already existing wonder movies, so I might be making changes to them after I finish with the last 21 wonder movies.

I'd like to beg for videos for following wonders:
Cure for Cancer
Eirik Raude
Gutenberg's Print Shop
Lindbergh's trans-Atlantic crossing
Silk Road
Transcontinental railroad
Caravanserai
Corporate Headquarters

A couple of those would be hard as they're not actual wonders, but commemorations of great feats in mankind's history.

However, 'after' I finish the original 28, and maybe the Warlord's Wonders.

I might also do some National Wonder Movies too...

I dunno, I just started this project, so I'm still feeling my way around in the dark here. I know for sure that there are two wonders that I'm going to re-do alone, so who knows how long this may take...

I would love a movie for the East Indies company and/or The Hubble Telescope.

There are 3 wonders I've added to the Canada Mod that I would love proper movies for (currently using static images):

1) the CN Tower

2) the Oil Sands (Alberta)

3) ummm...I've kept this as a surprise, but it'd be easy to do :)

Love the idea of new wonder movies. The ones in the original game are very bland. Civ 2/SMAC had it right. Nice work, keep it up :) :goodjob:

Dairuka, may I ask from where you got the music for the Hanging Gardens? ;)

There is Rad Video Tools but I am unsure of the link. I will post that when I get home.

I have heard a new way that you can decrease the size of your mod.

You can put it into a .pak file.. Using the PakBuild. Then people could just unpak it when they get it from the database.

Anyway.. thanks a lot! and keep em' coming.

These are great. I miss the National wonder movies actually. You plan and build that wonder, and then ... nothing.

Every mod would include them if you made them.
