Those who want to play America without waiting so long, might like this idea.

For each version posted, some of you (including me) will be posting here or sending me the savegames of a few turns before 1605 (in fact, while you wait you can load and save a game, and see the turn number) or even exactly 1605, the starting turn.

Providing a set of 5-6 starts as a separate download will preserve game variety and would finally solve the problem for them.

Sounds good. I wouldn't go about it as a whole big project, and I'd wait until we have a version that requires less intensive testing on America (since variety is very important for testing), but once we have a satisfactory version we can just all make sure to send in the starting or pre-starting saves (ten turns before start would be best for at least some extra variety) every time we play America.

I think the best idea is to open a new thread for each version, starting from next version (1.00), where you can post them.

Samegames should possibly be done with viceroy and emperor levels as well.

I know that I personally don't really mind the wait that much, I doubt I'd use the files. I like how each start is completely random. I do see how others might be interested in it though.

This isn't that bad for me, as I have a lot of empty processing time on my computer (besides completely (http://www.google.com/search?q=lime) legitimate (http://www.google.com/search?q=wire) downloads (http://news.google.com/news?q=illegal%20downloads) :mischief:), so I can pump out a few save games of each difficulty within a day of the version release. I'll of course start with medium, then easy and hard.

You you begin this projest after 1.0 is done so it can be implemented in Warlords instead.

rhye, it would be cool to create a savegame for America that reflect the REAL world !! (a sort of scenario).
no aztecs, english, spainish & french everywhere in america, Real borders...

it would be very cool and it would help testing america (if it's possible to build USA with the continent full of europeans..)
