Is it possible to replace one type of terrain with another in a scenario. For example, if I wanted to replace the marsh terrain in C3C with Grassland graphics, then what files would I need to move/edit.

Any help truely appreciated:).

Yes, look in your scenario/art/terrain folder, and move files away to what you want.

Pretty much, let's say you have a Grassland terrain.pcx that you want to need. Move it to your Scenario/Art/Terrain folder and save it as the marsh.pcx file, and it should work.

Well, it's not quite that simple. The base terrains (grassland, plains, desert, tundra, water) have several files broken up into combinations of 3 types of terrain. The overlay terrains (forest, marsh, jungle, mountains, hills) are just rows of individual tiles that are placed on top of the base terrains.

However, since grassland is the base terrain for marsh, all you have to do is make your entire marsh file (the copy in your scenario folder, NOT the original!) the pinkish background color. That will make marshed invisible, showing only the grassland underneath.
