Aspyr has posted a beta patch for the Mac version of Civilization IV. The beta patch fixes a nasty bug that caused excessive CPU usage in certain Macs, especially G5's. The game should no longer run dual CPU's to 100% capacity with the patch. The patch also makes some sounds to play correctly, but other sounds may still be inaudible. A future official release of the patch will address those.
