Seeing the amount of AARs increasing, I might aswell add one of my own. :)

I'll be playing the Dauphiné Charles with AGCEEP mod installed, my goals are as follows: Unite France (Obviously), and instead of going for Western-Germany & The Low Countries or Spain, I plan on creating a united France-Italy (France that controls the territories of modern day France and Italy). Also I plan to convert France to Protestantism aswell as the whole of Italy. (seeing Rome as Protestant will be quite intresting.) :)

So, a quite different aproach to playing France (Save for uniting France, that is).

The Dauphiné Charles had a dream, that he would one day be crowned the King of all France. However, for the time being his dream was on hold for France was ruled by one Charles VI, a Burgundian puppet ruler. And the English would have to be dealt with eventually aswell.

Charles embarged on improving the stability and economy of his realm. With the rich city of Lyonnais being the main source of Charles' income.

Charles' army was not too large and should he need to fight the false French king, the Burgundians or the English he wouldn't stand a chance. However, seeing the need to keep the English occupied, Scotland sent a force of volunteers to join in Charles' army on April 2 1419. Even so, Charles still had to increase the size of his armies many times before he had a sizeable force under his command.

On September 11 1419, The Dauphiné Charles met with John the Fearless of Burgundy at the bridge of Montereau. Instead of negotiating with John, Charles had him murdered at the bridge.

With John the Fearless gone, the English invaded the Burgundian puppet ruler's realm facing no real resistance from the French king and no opposition to the invasion from Burgundy. This all eventually worked in the Dauphiné's favour as Charles VI the false king of France died on October 22 1422. With the false king gone, Dauphiné Charles had himself crowned King of France as he inherited the lands still in the hands of the former French king, although Paris remained in English hands.

Burgundy and England signed an Alliance soon after, as Orleans and other French nobility sided with the Dauphiné Charles, now Charles VII. This alliance still held Paris and a few other rightfully French lands, which was an issue that Charles VII decided to resolve next.

I currently plan to invade England and Burgundy to unite what remains of France, after that it's consolidating my gains and hold on France before moving on to Italy.

Slowly, but surely, we shall claim the 'Other Games' page one in the name of Paradox :p

Good start to the game. Good luck.

Thanks, I'll probably encounter some more problems once I try to wrest Paris from those evil Englishmen. :)

The hundred years war is all about Burgundy. ;)

I think our two AARs could end with a similar shape as I'm sure I'll be going to war again with France. I've never seen the English AI achieve anything in France, they always get beaten back and would eventually lose England when the land bridge existed.

I've played a bit ahead (Will post the continuation soon enough), it seems as though Burgundy and England weren't my main concerns but their allies. Burgundy and England aren't putting up much fight, but Cleves and Brabant (With 20 000 men coming from both, totalling 40 000) are putting up major resistance.... :crazyeye:

Thats a usual thing in EU2 though. The minor countries always end up with no armies or very large armies.
