I just joined MSN Games's Catan Online. Free for 30 days (and then I'll either cancel or pay $20 a year to continue (haven't decided yet but marked the date of reckoning on my calender so I won't forget).

Would you recommend this game? As long as it's pretty simple and easy I can play it.

I used to play Risk, Monopoly, Acquire. I havn't played any lately, besides chess and checkers.

It's a bit more complex than Risk but nothing you couldn't master in a few hours.

It's a nonviolent game (righ up your alley ;)) though a bit competitive at times. :)
