Four more Civilization IV: Warlords reviews have appeared since we last posted about the reviews. Instead of making a news post for each review, we'll just include a short excerpt and the rating from each review below.

GamingTrend: 8/10 (http://www.gamingtrend.com/Reviews/review/review.php?ReviewID=627) (August 10, 2006):

The Civ IV Warlords expansion adds some new aspects to the already excellent Civ IV gameplay experience. However, the main benefits are the intriguing single-player scenarios and the tweaks to make warfare a more feasible strategy. If Civ IV is keeping you up at night wanting "just one more turn," then the Warlords expansion pack will definitely enhance that experience. However, in the end, remember that it's just an expansion pack; it has high-quality content, but it's a bit light on value.

GamePro: 4/5 (http://gamepro.com/computer/pc/games/reviews/79272.shtml) (August 10, 2006):

Despite these weaknesses, fans of the original will find that the add-on is well worth the money. Even if it just gets you to dust off the game and start playing it again (and again and again), it's worth it.

Eurogamer: 6/10 (http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=66535) (August 8, 2006):

It's not the best expansion pack in the world, but for a game which already offered as much as the initial game did, it's worth considering just to encourage a developer who did include so much in its original release. After all, the shrug this is received with is just encouraging some suit to argue that they should deliberately withhold some peripheral features from a future original game just to give the add-on pack a raison d'etre. For that, its recommended price of £25 is a little steep, but at any price beneath twenty pounds it becomes increasingly attractive.

Next Level Gaming: 8.5/10 (http://www.nlgaming.com/nl/asp/id_1468/nl/reviewDisp.htm) (August 6, 2006):

Based on these factors I would say that this is a decent expansion. I say this due to the large amount of options it adds to the six new scenarios. The reason it falls short of a fantastic expansion is that it does not influence the main single player game as much as I would have liked. If you are a fan of Civilization IV then I recommend picking up this expansion to add on to your gaming experience. If you do not have the original right now you can start with just that then get the expansion when you have played the heck out of the base game.
The Warlords expansion has an average rating of 81% (http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages4/932340.asp) from 11 reviews published so far. Most of the reviewers wrote that they like the new content but wished Firaxis had added more to justify the $30 price tag.
