Weeeeeeeeeell as anyone who knows me from other teams will notice i like to have a team thats all friends with each other- with this in mind i suggest we start beating each other to shreds in MP games (yes rob hacked off you :p)

Therefore why dont we create some sort of ladder/play for fun system.

Right now im whooping your esteemed domestic minister in another PBEM so if anyone would like to challenge me i'd be happy to accept.

Well anyways we'll see how things go :)

Aug 11, 2006, 08:31 AM
Hehe, this is my kind of thread! I quite enjoy beating my teammates to death in MP. (I'm currently losing the Epsilon PBEM, but CivIVor OT i am winning, so it all works out).

Sign me up for what ever. :D

BCLG100
Aug 11, 2006, 08:38 AM
ok well if we get more folk we'll do a lucky dip for who plays if not i'll beat jo ass ;)

I'll have to hold off on throwing my hat into the ring. I'm getting a laptop for college, and I need to make sure I get the Internet working.

robboo
Aug 16, 2006, 09:48 AM
Can anyone of you guys host it?

Robi D

Perhaps we could have a team Pitboss game. :D

That would be fun, especially if Regentman started next to me then he could be my vassal:D

oh course Dave...(everyone.... BC is in trouble)

Aug 19, 2006, 03:21 PM
k so i may have got this wrong but not counting the pitboss game heres the match ups pbem im afraid.

robi d vs azza
robboo vs daveshack
me vs regentman

thats it so far, cummon people sign up to play

if everyone is ok with them match ups i can create the maps for them shortly?

RegentMan
Aug 19, 2006, 03:30 PM
Looks okay with me. My laptop can run [civ4] fine and will be able to connect to the Internet. Are we playing vanilla or Warlords?

Do we want to play with AIs, or 1v1? Also, how are you going to create our map? :p

BCLG100
Aug 19, 2006, 03:41 PM
erm how about 1vs1 small map monarch tech speed, normal barbs random civs and vanilla (i have warlords but i am really inexperienced with it). though i dont really mind tbh-if you want to change anything thats cool.

i could just randomise our map and we hope for the best?

RegentMan
Aug 19, 2006, 03:46 PM
Hmmm... the only setting I'd challenge is the small map; is duel too small? I'm not experienced in 1v1, so I don't know which would work better. What speed are we playing on? I'd say epic or normal.

You bet we're playing on a random map! ;)

robboo
Aug 19, 2006, 04:33 PM
I am OK with it.....small is better dual is too close.

BCLG100
Aug 19, 2006, 04:57 PM
yer duel can mean that someone who starts with a scout dies before they can build a defence, id say normal speed.

do you 4 want me to check the maps for your 2 game before starting or is one of you going to do it yourself?

RegentMan
Aug 20, 2006, 12:36 AM
Normal speed and small then. :)

DaveShack
Aug 23, 2006, 09:46 AM
I'm still here.

Map checking isn't necessary. I've been playing some duel vs AI just to get a feel for it, and low sealevel seems to generate reasonable distances, but small would work too.

Let each pair choose between warlords and vanilla?

ice2k4
Aug 24, 2006, 04:40 PM
Possible I can still sign up?

DaveShack
Aug 24, 2006, 09:56 PM
Maybe the 1st round should be round robin, at least to the limit of games folks can sign up for.

robboo
Aug 25, 2006, 06:44 AM
I can sign up for one.

I think Daveshack should go against BC..pay back game from pitboss.

Robi D
Aug 25, 2006, 06:46 AM
I didn't realise we had already been assigned pairs. Well the choice is easy for my games since i don't have warlords, i went for a graphics card update instead. I'm open to to any settings azzaman. Do you have any preferences?

azzaman333
Aug 25, 2006, 06:53 AM
I'd have Tiny-Small, classical start, Shuffle map type. I dont mind a couple of AI's, as long as they are no higher than prince.

robboo
Aug 25, 2006, 08:10 AM
OK lets get this rolling...

Daveshack.
Send me your civ choice and setting. I figure small, pangea, noble, barbs.no AI or AI no matter.I can go warlords or vanilla. Your choice.

ICE..I will play you in a head to head also as part of the Aloha ladder. Just sign up over there and challenge me. :)

Man if Ice and Dave play me I will be up to 12 mulitplayer games...no one tell my wife why I havent done anything around the house :)

Robi D
Aug 27, 2006, 09:30 AM
I'd have Tiny-Small, classical start, Shuffle map type. I dont mind a couple of AI's, as long as they are no higher than prince.

Small classical start is fine by me. Are you happy with 2 AI on noble and are we going to pick civ or go random.

azzaman333
Aug 27, 2006, 04:59 PM
2 Noble AI's is fine, you can choose a civ if you want, but i'll take random.

If you have a few minutes, read this thread: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?p=4462733#post4462733

It's a bit like the CFC MTDG, but extremely different. I would really love for the team captains (sole role/duty is to moderate their team's private forum) to be people I have played with here.

Aug 28, 2006, 03:37 PM

Sweet and dave..
I didnt forget..i have just been swamped. Being wifeless for a week and with 2 kids under the age of 4 and trying to get a house ready for sale...

Can any one explain to me why stuff breaks the week before you are set to show a house...plumbing in the sink clogged...shower starts leaking very bad. I do like not having to pay $70 an hour for a 5 dollar job but manis it time consuming......4 trips to the hardware store and 4 hours of me trying to figure it out....

No the "character" comes from my dogs gigantic "sleeping" pits they dug in the back yard. "Dogs for sale..free cat with every dog."( I even will throw in a 50pound bag of dog food)

Hint to all the fathers..

WD-40 removes crayon marks from walls...even freshly painted walls."I was just trying to help you." Anyone want a 4 year old girl..cute, doesnt eat much real cheap..best offer. Must pick up no shipping.

Impress your wives look like a real handy man next time your little artist decides to draw a mural instead of napping.... Hard to get mad at her...it was some of her best work yet. :)

just an update to everyone not looking at RM's spoiler and i havnt started one, my almighty powerful warrior met a regentia scout as he popped a goody hut near me-he died a quick death, then the same warrior met a regentia warrior down south on top of a hill-due to his promotions he quickly killed the regentia warrior, now that warrior is marching on Regentgrad itself, he is on a hill 2 tiles from the capital of regent land and so far it is undefended-whether Regentman can scramble his defences in time is a whole other matter.

Now, now, let’s be like neighbors and not center our aggression on each other. After all, maneuvering through all of the seriousness and humor just isn’t this poster’s flock of colors. After all, if I wanted to go through all of the legalization of a thread, I’d check out Lost Civilizations at the theater.

:mischief:

Moi,
I started up a thread requesting players for a new PBEM game using the Earth 1000 AD scenario and thought some of you folk might be interested. Follow the like and check it out if you have the inkling.

I'd like to finish out the semester before starting another PBEM. Maybe then you'll be able to be beaten by the legendary RegentMan again. ;)

Although I have to admit, you put up one hell of a fight. If I had brought one less axe... :shudder:
