For some reason my city is always stagnant, i thought if i build more farms it will grow again but it keeps becoming stagnant still...

I notice that some of my citizens is angry...is that the problem? How can i prevent my city from not growing? Thanks in advance!

Work tiles? See if they're placed on the farms and not something else?

And from getting angry citizens: Build buildings that make your citizens happy, or cut down on your population a bit, and take it slow.

Welcome to CFC forums!

For starters I'd reccommend checking out Sisiutil's Strategy Guide (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=165632)

It sounds like you dont have your citizens in your city working the farm tiles. To check this out, double click on the city and see where the big white circles are located. Those are the tiles currently being worked. Next click on one of your farm tiles to switch a citizen over to working that tile.

In regards to angry citizens, oddly enough, stagnating growth is one of many solutions to dealing with angry citizens. If you notice that you are at your happiness limit, it is often advantageous to switch the worked tiles around so that there is 0 growth. Other solutions to angry citizens include using slavery to "whip" them away, building happiness buildings, obtaining happiness resources, and having a state religion.

Next, city growth is a component of the game that I myself had issues figuring out when I started playing. I always wanted be cities to grow. The issue is, that in order to make your city grow you must sacrifice hammer and comerce heavy tiles for those that have more food. In esscence making your city grow hurts short term production and commerce. If your city is at health and happiness limits then there is no point in working those food tiles anymore. Why? Because what is the angry citizen going to do for you? Nada. Instead, switch the worked tiles around so that you can maximize production so that you can build units and even happiness buildings so that your city can grow.

In the long run though, it is beneficial to have more citizens. Not only does it increase your score, but more citizens = more worked tiles = more production/commerce.

Hopefully what I said above makes sense. Regardless, I highly reccomend checking out Sisiutil's Strategy Guide (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=165632)
