I didn't find anything about that in the forum search:
I got the German version of C3C with the latest patch. Now I'd like to join some PBEMs/SGs here at the civfanatics, but i don't know if I could open the saves correctly that were created with an english version of C3C.
Do I need a language pack or something?
I got the "Goethe Tool", if someone knows it, I don't know if this changes anything.
I just wan't to be sure about this before joining any games.

Edit: a damn, just noticed my mistake in the title ;)

That tool is for mods. It translates text files from English to German or French, depending on the program. I don't think it works for saves. What you can do is try and d/l a SG and see if it works. But I don't think it will.

And your English is fine.

Thx for the hint, I didn't get the idea to simply try it.
But it seems to work, I opened a save and played a few turns, though I'm not sure if the other players were able to open my save. But I'll check that.
