Another four Civ4 Warlords reviews have appeared and one of them gives Warlords its highest rating yet (93%):

Game Chronicles: 9.3/10 (http://www.gamechronicles.com/reviews/pc/civ4exp1/warlords.htm) (August 20, 2006)
Civilization IV: Warlords plays pretty much the same as the core game but when something works well you don’t mess with it. They have added things to create more value and gameplay but have not changed things so drastically that you would notice. You still have to deal with building your towns into cities and the tactics of fighting unless you’re in one of the new scenarios where the goals are a bit different. The same great civilization game is there at the heart of Warlords and this expansion only makes the game that much better.
GamingExcellence: 8.7/10 (http://www.gamingexcellence.com/pc/games/610/review.shtml) (August 21, 2006)
Any fan of the Civilization series will be happy with the expanded gameplay offered by Warlords, it really completes the game. Features have been added without making the core game more complicated. What feels missing are any additions to the late game modern units or buildings. It also would have been nice if there were more scenarios included for the price of the expansion pack.
Jolt Online Gaming UK: 8.7/10 (http://www.jolt.co.uk/index.php?articleid=6867) (August 18, 2006)
If you’re a single player or a multiplayer Civ IV fan, there is something new here for you. The multiplayer definitely benefits the most but all in all, one of the best and most disturbingly addictive games ever has just upped the stakes once again. Prepare to kiss goodbye to another large chunk of your life.
In addition to these reviews, PC Zone UK magazine rated the expansion 79.0% in its October issue.
