Since there's no actual commercial advertising, I'll just point you to the correct forum:

Thread moved to All Other Games.

Advertising is advertising. Be it for a free site or a pay one. Feel free to advertise in your sig, however.

I don't want to give you the feeling you're doing everything wrong, but there already is a thread about D&D: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=176867

So I'm closing this one if you don't mind. ;)

this isn't d&d it is a separate place in which to play it, not just d&d

also i'm not asking whether people play d&d i'm asking if anyone wants to play at this site

i just wanted to bump this thread because it is a really fun site, and i would like people to join

That was a pointless bump.

We would prefer that you not bump threads unless you have something significant to add to the thread. Bumping it to sy "This is a really fun site" is not significant. Put a link to this thread (or the site) in your sig, and this thread (site) will get the exposure you're wanting by bumping this thread.

Or, he could just post this in the other D&D thread. He would get his exposure, and we wouldn't have two threads for one thing.

ok sorry, i'll add it to my sig and can someone give me the link to the other D&D thread?
