Friday could be earlier if need be. I work 3rd shift so sleep during the day. I can easily adjust since its the weekend. During the week I can get up earlier if that is the only time available for everyone. Though I'd prefer not to get up before 19:00. I have class on Tues\Thur, hence the reason it's later in the evening.

This coming weekend is Labor Day weekend, though I don't believe we're doing anything. The wife hasn't told me yet anyway :D .

Yes, with the exception of meeting other teams. I find it hard to believe COG hasn't met anyone yet, while we've met three! Surely there's another group out there near them.

We need to think of a fair way to split research. COG and BAT can't give us both alphabet. I think we need to be the ones to research it, while BAT gets middle, and COG gets bottom. Then we can trade alphabet to both teams and get really caught up.

Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed a little "unfriendliness."

What you see as unfriendliness may have been two things. First off he was outnumbered in the chat...in the future if they only have one guy in chat only one of us chat. Use the Private feature to realy your questison to the "talker". Second he was hiding what he knows

In addition...You learned zilch from him. He basically said they are reasearching 3 or 4 different things. I hate to say it...but you gusy gave away wayyyy too much info and got very little back in return.

The only thing you do know is he is on the water. And they have archery...

OK just wasnt sure...his phrases seemed a bit awkward in some parts. Might just be his nervousness in dealing with so many people. They are not a big group so they know if any one screws up its going to be quite obvious and blame is likely to fall on one person.

I’ve been working with the demographics screen. By cross referencing all the data it’s like a big logic puzzle can tell us all kinds of stuff. It is time consuming work and not without error, but I’m still checking and making new discoveries.

COG is mostly done so here is what I got.

4000 capitol built: GNP 9, MFG 3, Crop 4. 3/9 of the capitols initial tiles were water and health was 4, so either no fresh water or hardly any forest.

3880 border expands, 3-5 water tiles in fat cross

3840 warrior built

3680 Archery discovered

3640 Scout built (scouts are invisible to this process so I’m just guessing really, but this is the earliest it could have been built)

3600 Pop grows, Crop 7

3480 free tech, probably fishing but haven’t really checked yet.

3360 contact with us

3280 Pop 3 (Bronze working in 4 turns or so, I assume this is their next tech if they want Iron)

By the looks of our map and Rishubhav’s words I’m guessing CBR is located down the land jutting out to our southeast. If this is correct and we met COG from the path to the southwest than that means there’s another path south of the pond. I didn't mention this as it appears they don't realize it.

Note they are currently building a settler, though I am unsure how soon until it’s completed.

BTW, I've downloaded Trillian Basic and have switched my display name so that it reads as "Methos" now, instead of my real name.

A very interesting chat. Their desire for an alliance surprises me.

Things look good. We can obviously trade them ironworking for other techs - we should try and convince them to go for techs that BAT is not.

At this juncture we should inform BAT on our relations with COG. I am not yet sure if it would be wise at this time to suggest to them we establish our 3 team alliance. Getting them in contact would be difficult -- they would have to trust us with being the middle man. Also at this point we don't know how well COG plays, it would be a big gamble.

I suggest also for the next term that the forign minister and embassies remain in one thread - it might ake things busy but I see things becoming very interconnected that would require such.

A gamble not worth taking, in my opinion. Let BAT meet up with COG before we designate any third ally.

We should try and pursuade them to go for techs BAT isnt going for but i do agree we should let them meet BAT in their own time, however that isnt to say we shouldnt promote both sides to the other. IT seems the best idea to have these 2 as allies.

This can easily be done if this is what everyone prefers. When I create my Term 2 thread I can add a post for each of our opponents with their info in it. Is this how everyone prefers it?

Sounds like a good idea to me. The embassy threads could still be used to post pending deals.

I prefer the seperate threads for seperate teams, while alliances may become joined and things it does help if we're all sure we're talking about the same team.
