This time we have six more Warlords reviews and a Mac Civ4 review:
Silicon Fusion: 9/10 (http://www.silicon-fusion.com/review.php?id=26277) (August 22, 2006)
A bit like selecting the sauces you wish for a meal, not strictly necessary but once tasted the combination is something different and quite delicious.
Ace Gamez: 9/10 (http://www.acegamez.co.uk/reviews_pc/Civilization_IV_Warlords_PC.htm) (August 27, 2006)
Civilization IV: Warlords is a great example of what an expansion should be - fix problems with the original game, add a lot of features that makes the original game more interesting and sends you back to replay it even more ...
GameShark: A- (http://www.gameshark.com/reviews/2438/Civilization-IV-Warlords-Review.htm) (August 25, 2006)
This is a very well made expansion pack – everything that it adds helps the game, even if it's in small doses, while the new scenarios are sure to add hour upon hour of enjoyment…even if it's priced around what it costs for a brand new game.
Gamers Temple: 8.8/10 (http://www.gamerstemple.com/games9/001147/001147r01.asp) (August 24, 2006)
If you’re not a big fan of scenarios, then it can be hard to justify the cost of the expansion based on the other additions.
PALGN AU: 8.5/10 (http://palgn.com.au/article.php?id=5129) (August 22, 2006)
Warlords does a great job of fleshing out some of the minor problems that persisted through the original, and also adds some exciting new features that does the series no harm. However, some gamers may not be happy with the lack of new content at hand, especially at its price.
PC Game World: 8.5/10 (http://pcgames.gwn.com/reviews/gamereview.php/id/999/) (August 21, 2006)
The scenarios add enough fun and new strategies, however, to make it an incredibly worthwhile purchase. The improvements to the campaign may be minimal, but they do shoot some extra strategy into a game that needed no more, but certainly welcomes more.
BTW, Inside Mac Games recently published their review (http://www.insidemacgames.com/reviews/view.php?ID=727) of the Mac version of Civ4, giving it 9 out of 10.
