Hello!

Using v1.17g, I built a goodly number of horsemen (to complement my swordsmen) in preparation for war with Persia, knowing that not long after the onset of hostilities I'd be able to upgrade to Knights. Not to be! :(
My horsemen, sitting on cities w/barracks and with noted access to iron and horses, are not afforded the upgrade button. So I waited until I actually built a Knight from scratch to see if maybe that had become a prerequisite to upgrading... no dice. Many turns later I've still got horsemen, got lots of knights, still building more, horsemen still won't upgrade. I've upgraded spearmen to pikemen without a hitch.

Am I missing something or is this a hiccup in the patch?

Thanks,

d'Artagnan

Beats me. What civ are you playing as? I was able to make that same upgrade as the Americans in 1.17g.

I'm also playing as the Americans.

Hmm...... Really weird that I can build Knights, but in the same cities I can't upgrade to them.

d'Artagnan Dumbass strikes!

My apologies... the reason I couldn't upgrade horsemen to knights was that the upgrade was more costly than I realized ($80) and I didn't have the cash handy. Thus, no upgrade button appeared.

:suicide:

Sorry (ugh)
