View Full Version : In which we discuss Avatars and custom user titles
Raisin Bran Aug 30, 2006, 05:54 PM A complement to the "In which we discuss sigs" thread.
Feel free to post your avatar explanation and/or changes.
Also good for Custom user title.
:)
RB, you should try and find an oldschool RB avatar.
I did find a couple but I wanted one with transparency and I did not want to work hard making it transparent.
But its a good Idea and Ill try that later :)
@Turner : Please put your old Avatar back. I seriously think its the best Avatar on CFC.
Also ..... what did your old custom user title mean?
Red Door Aug 30, 2006, 05:57 PM Avatar - Washington Redskins logo, the best team in the NFL!
Custom User Title - Hail to the Redskins!, the name of the fight song of the Redskins, but Redskins fans use it to cheer on the team.
downtown Aug 30, 2006, 06:00 PM The redskins suck and you know it :p
I'm open to avatar ideas. Ive had Kaka since the WC
skadistic Aug 30, 2006, 06:08 PM Avatar - Washington Redskins logo, the best team in the NFL!
Custom User Title - Hail to the Redskins!, the name of the fight song of the Redskins, but Redskins fans use it to cheer on the team.
I take it you didn't see the last game did you? And I hope you don't watch thier next. I'd hate to see you get depressed ;)
Ravens gonna win.
Avatar is me familia coat de arms and the title explains itself.
Ecclesiastes Aug 30, 2006, 06:12 PM My name is a book in the bible, my avatar symbolizes war.
Red Door Aug 30, 2006, 06:12 PM I take it you didn't see the last game did you? And I hope you don't watch thier next. I'd hate to see you get depressed ;)
Ravens gonna win.
Avatar is me familia coat de arms and the title explains itself.
I did see that last game, I was depressed, but then I remembered we played without 4 key players on Defense.
And Clinton Portis wasn't there, he's a big part of the Offense. ;)
It will be better starting September 11th.
Stormrage Aug 30, 2006, 06:15 PM I`m really handsome and I like axes. I should also buy better glasses and I should definately go see a dentist. I`n time, I`ll go bald, its genetic. And I like the color green. - therefore, Grimgor Ironhide
.Shane. Aug 30, 2006, 06:38 PM I switch avatars all the time. whatever amuses me... :)
Sidhe Aug 30, 2006, 06:46 PM Don't switch avatars, mines bemusing but hey, I'm too lazy to change it, it's whatever you want to see, me, a pig, a confusing blur of colours or just the reality of the human encompassed in a swirl best expressed by Chopenhaur, or blue, or an homage to Citizen Smith, whatever :)
Cannae Aug 30, 2006, 06:49 PM I changed mine now it's this if you can't tell what it is.Why i chose this one??because i felt like it lol http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/26/Iwami_squid_drying_DSC01868.jpg
What do people think of my avatar?pritty cool huh?
Dawgphood001 Aug 30, 2006, 06:49 PM My avatar is an attractive piece of clip art.
My title states that I am an awesome poster.
De Lorimier Aug 30, 2006, 06:50 PM When I first came to CFC I had the Civ2 Partisan unit. The main right-wing troll back then was rmsharpe (how things have changed), so when I got to 300 posts I was in a real hurry to distance myself from the other rifle-waving poster. I found this flag through Newfangle who was a Canadian Nationalist/Communist who called himself Trudeau's lackey (did I mention that things changed?). I've been sporting it since then and really don't feel like changing.
My user title changes a lot and so does my signature. I like to have new ones every other month or so. Bonzaïon is a song by Loco Locass. Hence, the smoking dude in the sig.
Masquerouge Aug 30, 2006, 06:56 PM My avatar is the civ-related icon closest to my user name, because Masquerouge is actually a XVIIth-century graphic novel hero, some kind of musketeer if you will.
I never changed my user title.
Sophie 378 Aug 30, 2006, 06:56 PM Sidhe: your avatar reminds me of the delusional parasitosis thread. No offense intended!
My avatar, and the first link in my sig, are the Ninth Charm. This is the trimaran my uncle built in his garden, from 1977-1996, and has now lived in for the last ten years.
:hammer: :whipped: ---> :wow: :yeah: :worship: :salute: :trophy2:
Hopefully his trimaran will continue to fly along and rock, winning races and outsailing storms.

I see what you mean.
http://www.freewebs.com/mypicturesandsht/Taliesin.jpg
Ok here's the whole picture.
It's basically a picture of Taliesin the Merlin using spells to summon the Sidhe.
The fawn is the Dagda exerting influence and the rest you can figure out.
Syterion Aug 30, 2006, 07:06 PM I've had the same avatar for almost three years. Also, my custom title was constant until a few months ago, now its constantly changing to a phrase of my liking.
puglover Aug 30, 2006, 07:23 PM My avatar is a photo of the family dog, Pugslee. Great dog. :)
Truthseeker comes from my one of my greatest aspirations in life. Philosophy is a favorite pasttime of mine. I believe no ideal should go without questioning, and no question should go without answering. My beliefs are simply a compound of the answers I have accumulated.
skadistic Aug 30, 2006, 07:31 PM

.
I like that, very trippy but not in a cartoonish way. Kinda highbrow acid art.
Atlas14 Aug 30, 2006, 07:33 PM My avatar is of Albrecht Durer, and I used to know who he is, but I mainly just liked the picture of him, so I used it.
Savage Discipil Aug 30, 2006, 08:00 PM My avatar is what appears to be a panda riding a go-kart......its dumb i know.
VRWCAgent Aug 30, 2006, 08:11 PM My current avatar is, well, just downright odd. From the CIVor MP game here in CFC OT, it combines the English flag (my civ), the Taoism symbol (we won't go there), and the mighty furry crabs which live in my civ's land. :)
My first and long standing avatar was the Civ II ToT aircraft carrier. I also very briefly had a Purple Martin (I am a Purple Martin landlord every summer) and I think I was either Tinky Winky or Barney for a brief time.
Tycoon101 Aug 30, 2006, 08:12 PM I wish that CATS will rise in power to restore order and Fascism to these corrupted lands! Muahaha!
Or, one could take it as how much I like the "All Your Base" phenomenon, and that I am very authoritarian.
CivGeneral Aug 30, 2006, 08:16 PM My Current Avatar is XP-tan from the OS-tan fame (Look it up in Wikipedia ya lazy bumbs :p ). My long standing avatar was Major Kusanagi of Ghost in the Shell Fame (I do plan to add the OS-tans, mainly my favorates XP-tan, 95-tan, and 2K-tan along in the avatar rotation with Major Kusanagi.
The title is in homage to XP-tan's hunger for memory. Though I wont mind if someone has a better latin translation for "Memory Eater" or simmilar. ;).
Oruc Aug 30, 2006, 08:20 PM Its a picture of Hitomi that someone linked to in a different forum, which I liked, I think it cute which is why its in my title.
The 777 Hoax Aug 30, 2006, 08:24 PM Showbread's new album's cover... Oh! Emetophobia! is a great song from it.
I think I'm gonna change soon, though.
tomsnowman123 Aug 30, 2006, 08:26 PM My avatar and user title is as un-original and un-interesting as they come. Whoopee.
Padma Aug 30, 2006, 08:32 PM I've had this avatar for years. I rescue Basset Hounds, so I chose one as my avatar.
My title is a play on "Padma the Outbond", although he *was* known as "the Inbond" late in his life ....
Turner Aug 30, 2006, 10:22 PM I've had this avatar for years. I rescue Basset Hounds, so I chose one as my avatar.
My title is a play on "Padma the Outbond", although he *was* known as "the Inbond" late in his life ....
You should change it to 'the Modbond'...:mischief:
And as I said in the other thread, my Raven will return. The old title is my Indian name.
CIVPhilzilla Aug 30, 2006, 10:38 PM This link tells all. Anybody who has debated me, or read my many posts, know this is a rather accurate description.
http://redwing.hutman.net/~mreed/warriorshtm/capitalista.htm
Cheezy the Wiz Aug 30, 2006, 11:01 PM If anybody needs clarification as to my avatar and user title, you are missing the best in life.
Turner Aug 30, 2006, 11:03 PM I was giving him the bird.
<blank look>
You know, the Finger. <flips teacher off>
Yes, I know 'the finger', Goose.
Sorry, ma'am. Hate it when it does that.
So you're the one.
Yes ma'am. <big grin>
Nope, don't need any splaining to me.
Eran of Arcadia Aug 30, 2006, 11:06 PM My current avatar is Orrin Porter Rockwell, who served as bodyguard to Joseph Smith and Brigham Young at various times in his life. You may remember me from such past avatars as the Civ3 knight (my first, pre-custom), various astronomical themes, and a Sims 2 version of actress Thora Birch. My user title is a reference to an argument I made in one of the myriad gay marriage threads. I mention this only because they have both changed since the last one of these threads.
Heretic_Cata Aug 31, 2006, 03:19 AM And as I said in the other thread, my Raven will return. The old title is my Indian name.
That was a raven :hmm: i thought it was a robot of some sort. :)
Anyway, here's my avatar :
http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/2006/1f900d3335b9f298qu7.jpg
My custom title is what i am doing in RL, i'm looking for healing.
C~G Aug 31, 2006, 03:30 AM Yes ma'am. <big grin>Didn't he put his sunglasses on after that?
And I also miss your raven.
Bartleby Aug 31, 2006, 03:30 AM My avatar is Ray Milland in the Billy Wilder movie The Lost Weekend. I'm a drinker, but not that much.
My title is is a Led Zeppelin reference.
Narz Aug 31, 2006, 03:34 AM My avatar is me and my title means I'm planning for the future.
I'm going to change it actually to "is building". Mor proactive. :)
The Last Conformist Aug 31, 2006, 04:15 AM My avatar is an artists rendition of gas spiralling into a black hole. It's an awesome picture, and reflects my interest in astrophysics.
My title is simultaneously a Lovecraft reference, a description of my avatar (it's a black hole born from a collapsing star), and an allusion to the fact that people are literally made of the ashes of dead stars.
C~G Aug 31, 2006, 04:23 AM My avatar is an artists rendition of gas spiralling into a black hole. It's an awesome picture, and reflects my interest in astrophysics. That is the most intellectual fart joke I have ever heard. j/k
I have always thought these threads are little bit like sniffing your own farts.
Little bit self-gratification like these things should mean something to someone else than to the person in question.
Mine's should be quite self-explanatory.
The Last Conformist Aug 31, 2006, 04:24 AM I have always thought these threads are little bit like sniffing your own farts.

Y'know, nobody forces you to read threads like this.
C~G Aug 31, 2006, 04:26 AM Y'know, nobody forces you to read threads like this. :cool:I know, but maybe I secretly enjoy participating in them. ;)
Reno Aug 31, 2006, 04:39 AM I basically had a bunch of different Ghibli (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Studio_Ghibli) charecters as my avatar for quite a long time. But then I changed it.
Currently my Avatar is Akito Sohma a charecter from Fruits Basket. (Manga and Anime, (s)he is quite a different charecter when compared between the Manga and Anime versions though)
Other avatars that I'll probably use in the future. The other is my Family's Coat of Arms and the other is what Finland's flag should haver been.
http://forums.civfanatics.com/uploads/42457/palmen_f055.jpg http://forums.civfanatics.com/uploads/42457/Finland-flag2-alternate.png
As for my title, it represents my love for Studio Ghibli movies and the fact that in NESes I always try to create a Tarunist Viking/Finnish state somewhere, usually in medieval settings.
PrinceOfLeigh Aug 31, 2006, 06:17 AM My Avatar is the symbol of the Deceptacons, the 'evil' robots in Transformers. I was big into them when I was younger and I'd just purchased a Generation I Starscream in it's box when I was picking an avatar. I don't like change so it's remained ever since.
Beneath that is the town and country I'm from. It's a bit of a flip so I could fit "Commander of the Armies of the North" under location. Being a proud Northern Lad, you've got to have it somewhere. The 'pride' bit evolves from living in exile of God's Blessed Land that is Wigan :smug:
If anybody needs clarification as to my avatar and user title, you are missing the best in life.
Quoted, for the God Damned Truthery of it all!
thetrooper Aug 31, 2006, 06:37 AM My avatar is the vivid conglomeration of 'A Clockwork Orange' and Charlie Chaplin. Some mistake the 'tache for Hitler but that's wrong. Thanks again Mistfit for my excellent avatar.
As for the custum user title, ask stormrage about it if you really want to know. :mischief: Think 'Riget'. It's all just for spass. ;)
C~G Aug 31, 2006, 06:41 AM My avatar is the vivid conglomeration of 'A Clockwork Orange' and Charlie Chaplin. Some mistake the 'tache for Hitler but that's wrong. Thanks again Mistfit for my excellent avatar.Your avatar is one of the most original, definately a keeper.
Can't mistake you to anyone else with that.
Simon Darkshade Aug 31, 2006, 06:42 AM Mine is a little picture of an obscure individual from an obscure flicker show, chosen on the grounds of various characteristics and work when the picture was younger and even more obscure.
Before this one, which entered in early 2002, it was the Civ2 Crusader (a reference to Lindsay Anderson's If...), and before that it was the default avatars that existed in the nascent days of this place.
The title refers to Druss the Legend, and to his recently deceased creator, David Gemmell.
Turner Aug 31, 2006, 06:53 AM Something about a ring, wasn't it?
El_Machinae Aug 31, 2006, 06:53 AM It's tough to embrace the concept of me with a picture; it would need to be 3D with subtitles. So, I settled for a brain in a jar, which is just funny (and an amusing (though unlikely) prediction of the future).
Staircase wit is a concept better described in french. It refers to the 'zinger' you think of in an argument a couple hours later and wish you'd said.
Simon Darkshade Aug 31, 2006, 06:55 AM Something about a ring, wasn't it?
That was it! North's ring from 1994's best picture! :ack:
philippe Aug 31, 2006, 07:56 AM is a and then putting a picture of a cock, eh bit of a pun.
mostly been running around with final fantasy avatars, sometimes metal gear solid.
still searching for the one, eh i'm just not good of thinking witty things.
Hakim Aug 31, 2006, 07:57 AM My avatar is the last picture in a serie strip explaining how to vote. The strip was on a broschure with vote card and instructions given to each citizen in the 2002 elections. I liked the last frame in particular because it was somewhat light-hearted for a serious context as elections (the guy is holding a hot dog in his hand btw). To my disappointment the vote card for the current elections (due in September) don't have any serie strip, only some boring instructions in text.
Here are some other pics from the strip:

Hmm, that woman looks kinda evil...
Kan' Sharuminar Aug 31, 2006, 08:04 AM Mine's a Duck due to an old comic I used to draw. Called Duck. The user title goes with it.
azzaman333 Aug 31, 2006, 08:40 AM My avatar is an Aussie Rules player, who recently got a shoulder injury...
(now that I think about it, the last 3 players I've had as my avatar either got injured or had a form slump...)
The title should give away the players name.
Godwynn Aug 31, 2006, 08:48 AM William Tecumseh Sherman a Union Civil War General, and his Famous March to the Sea.
Tomoyo Aug 31, 2006, 08:51 AM The title is in homage to XP-tan's hunger for memory. Though I wont mind if someone has a better latin translation for "Memory Eater" or simmilar. ;).Quae memorias edit (She who eats memories), or memorias edens (literally "eating memories", but it can also mean "memory eater".Its a picture of Hitomi that someone linked to in a different forum, which I liked, I think it cute which is why its in my title.I haven't seen Esca Flowne in a long time, so I'm not even sure if that's from it, but I'd just like to point out that Ma'aya Sakamoto, the voice actress for Hitomi in Esca Flowne, is the most awesomest voice actress ever.
My avatar changes with my whim. Right now it's Hazuki (or Luna) from Tsukuyomi Moon Phase, a half-vampire cat-ear wearing German-Japanese hybrid. Member title, Nekomimi Mode, is the theme song of the series and translates to "cat ear mode". I will probably change it to "Full, full, full, moon" or "FURUFURUFURUMUN", which is... well, it's what Hazuki says when she crashes into something and loses her orientation. Kinda like a dazed expression.Currently my Avatar is Akito Sohma a charecter from Fruits Basket. (Manga and Anime, (s)he is quite a different charecter when compared between the Manga and Anime versions though)(s)he?
Reno Aug 31, 2006, 09:14 AM (s)he?'
Akito is male in the Anime, Female in the Manga. ;)
leonel Aug 31, 2006, 09:25 AM Avatar - My attempt at duplicating my face on the Sims 2
User Title - I'm afraid of playing the Civ games above the Cheiftan level.
BCLG100 Aug 31, 2006, 09:31 AM title because i adore music
avatar because its a kind of reference to my personality but also my ex girlfriend and i just can't be arsed changing it or can think of a better avatar.
IglooDude Aug 31, 2006, 09:40 AM Avatar is continuing the tradition of good-looking artificial-intelligence robots, usually armed. Not sure how that particular tradition started, but ah well.
Title refers to me returning to CFC after a bit of a hiatus, and my blatant gun-nut-edness.
classical_hero Aug 31, 2006, 09:43 AM My avatar is of a famous composer. Every year with th avatar switch, I change my avatar to another composer. So far I have had J.S. Bach, Debussy and now Beethoven.
My title is a delusional in the fact that I wish I was a Genius at work, but it also refers to the fact that these composers were Genuises at work, since they creat works of great beauty and complexity, that modern music rarely achieves.
SS-18 ICBM Aug 31, 2006, 10:28 AM Name: the SS-18 nuclear missile, NATO codename "satan". It is one of the most powerful nuclear weapons ever devised.
Avatar: flag of the International Atomic Energy Agency
Sig: methinks it is self-explanatory
Elrohir Aug 31, 2006, 11:28 AM I don't have an avatar. Because all the cool people don't. ;) No, I just never got one, as I couldn't find one that fit my posting style here at CFC. And my user title is "Bibliophile", meaning "Book lover" because I, well, love books.
.Shane. Aug 31, 2006, 12:41 PM Avatar is continuing the tradition of good-looking artificial-intelligence robots, usually armed. Not sure how that particular tradition started, but ah well.

Nice. What show is the fembot from?
IglooDude Aug 31, 2006, 12:44 PM Nice. What show is the fembot from?
Battlestar Galactica (http://www.scifi.com/battlestar/), the new version.
Kozmos Aug 31, 2006, 12:54 PM Continue my trend of love for odd hair colors I present her.
El_Machinae Aug 31, 2006, 12:57 PM Nice. What show is the fembot from?
I picked up the miniseries (that introduces the show) on DVD at a movie rental place (i.e., I rented the first 6 episodes on one DVD).
I highly recommend it. If nothing else, you get a 3 hour movie at the same price as a 2 hour movie.
Tomoyo Aug 31, 2006, 01:00 PM '
Akito is male in the Anime, Female in the Manga. ;)
Sounds like the time they made one of the bad guys in Sailor Moon a girl so little kids wouldn't have to see gay guys.
Oruc Aug 31, 2006, 01:04 PM I haven't seen Esca Flowne in a long time, so I'm not even sure if that's from it, but I'd just like to point out that Ma'aya Sakamoto, the voice actress for Hitomi in Esca Flowne, is the most awesomest voice actress ever.
This Hitomi is from the Dead or alive games...
CivGeneral Aug 31, 2006, 01:13 PM Quae memorias edit (She who eats memories), or memorias edens (literally "eating memories", but it can also mean "memory eater".
Thanks :thanx:
Somehow, though I am used to viewing the forums on my own widescreen laptop with a screen resolution of 1920x1200, but from viewing the forums through the college's computers do look kind of bigger (Their monitors are 1024x768).
Dionysius Aug 31, 2006, 01:24 PM just changed to an Engrish customtitle and victoly stickman avatar.
Steve2000 Aug 31, 2006, 02:10 PM My avatar is Guybrush Threepwood of Monkey island fame... my favorite computer game of all time. I like Monkey Island 1 + 2 the best, but this image of Guybrush from Escape from Monkey Island has much better resolution than those old 16 color days. My custom user title is "Mighty Pirate" because that is what Guybrush is! My Location is "Deep in the Caribbean..." because that is the opening line on the title screen of Monkey Island 1.
Sidhe Aug 31, 2006, 02:16 PM My avatar is Guybrush Threepwood of Monkey island fame... my favorite computer game of all time. Monkey Island 1&2 had all the best gags, Monkey Island 4 was too easy to complete, bit of a dissapointment, but still a great game.
Phlegmak Aug 31, 2006, 02:24 PM Viperfish.
Brighteye Aug 31, 2006, 02:51 PM just changed to an Engrish customtitle and victoly stickman avatar.
My favourite Engrish was a person at school who objected to using a rubber.
Or being a gay man's rubber. Or even having a rubber...
or any one of many jokes that we came up with.
Fox Mccloud Aug 31, 2006, 03:02 PM The theme for my whole Avatar and signature is "OMG Dictator Bush is an incompetent mastermind that fooled milions of peole lol" and using lies and consperiacy theories that retards believe.
Irish Caesar Aug 31, 2006, 03:59 PM Buzz is a yellow jacket. And since this is the internet and no one can prove differently, I am Buzz.
:)
William Tecumseh Sherman a Union Civil War General, and his Famous March to the Sea.
Sidhe Aug 31, 2006, 04:04 PM The theme for my whole Avatar and signature is "OMG Dictator Bush is an incompetent mastermind that fooled milions of peole lol" and using lies and consperiacy theories that retards believe.
 indeed I have yet to see a conspiracy theory I'd believe, too much salt and pinches to throw over my left shoulder.
Till Aug 31, 2006, 04:18 PM My avatar is Guybrush Threepwood of Monkey island fame... my favorite computer game of all time. I actually like the old and grainy graphics better. You were still more or less free to imagine how the characters looked like.
Eran of Arcadia Aug 31, 2006, 06:56 PM @Phlegmak: when I was little I was terrified of pictures of viperfish. We had a few nature books in the hoise and the deep-sea fish freaked me out.

Yuri2356 Aug 31, 2006, 07:06 PM The character of Yuri2356, drawn as a wizzard and engaged in the occult rituals that all those godless, devil-worshiping commies perform on alternate wednesdays. I intend to replace it with something else in due time.
Cannae Aug 31, 2006, 07:59 PM "Man has responsibility, not power. " Tuscarora
This is pretty much self expalinitory
"Only when the last tree has withered, and the last fish caught, and the last river been poisoned, will we realize we cannot eat money." Cree

"The frog does not drink up the pond in which he lives." Sioux

"Scientific thought is the common heritage of mankind." Abdus Salam
I just put this because I felt like it.
Cheezy the Wiz Aug 31, 2006, 08:52 PM My current avatar is Orrin Porter Rockwell, who served as bodyguard to Joseph Smith and Brigham Young at various times in his life. Eran of Arcadia Aug 31, 2006, 08:52 PM Stormin' Mormon was so much cooler.
I will probably change it back soon, I just wanted something different.
Empiremaker Aug 31, 2006, 10:02 PM Mine is a water polo ball, since when I was looking for an avatar I was playing in a water polo league, plus few people have yellow avatars (The Trooper being an exception. And my title refers how much time I spend in a pool, and that I have been called similar things. (not in a bad way).
skadistic Aug 31, 2006, 10:05 PM Stormin' Mormon was so much cooler.
Infinitly.

That's from "The Gamesters of Triskelion". Kirk, Chekov, and Uhura (IIRC) are transported to a planet and forced to enter gladitorial combat with aliens from elsewhere. Those three disembodied brains bid on the outcome.

VRWCAgent Sep 01, 2006, 07:53 AM I think it does have the fight theme, but the episode you are thinking of is "Amok Time",happens on Vulcan, and has to do with Spocks instinctive mating urges.

'augurey' is a name I've been using since I joined a Harry Potter discussion forum back in '03. Yes, the name is from HP Lore though not found within the 6 books (rather 2 books JKR put out for charity, one being Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fantastic_Beasts_and_Where_to_Find_Them) which is bascially a fake bestiary of magical animals).
(also known as Irish Phoenix) Described as looking like a small and underfed vulture the Augurey is greenish black in colour. It lives in a tear shaped nest that is usually found bramble and thorn patches, it usually only leaves its nest in heavy rain to feed. Augureys were once thought to foretell death with their with their low wailing cry. In recent times it has been revealed that Augureys cries usually foretell bad weather and have since been used as household pets. An Augurey's feathers cannot be used for quills as they have the uncanny ability to repel ink.
Augureys are found in Britain and Ireland and sometimes Northern Europe.
Aside from looking like a vulture, I found at the time that this described me rather well at the time (I was pretty depressed then) and still to this day holds true in many regards.
The animal it self derives from the term 'augur' one who interprets the future by studying the flight of the birds (I believe this dates back to the founding of Rome) or an augury which is a prediction made with such methods.
JK Rowling just added an e. I think augurey looks better than augury anyway.
ANYWAY, going on. The avatar comes from the chapter where Lord Voldemort is reborn. The title is simply Lord Voldemort, who, despite my dislike as a person, I find facinating.

Kan' Sharuminar Sep 19, 2006, 02:38 PM Temporarily altered for Talk Like a Pirate Day :)
sysyphus Sep 19, 2006, 02:46 PM My avatar is Barbibul, one of the children from Barbapapa, my favourite show when I was a kid (most of you are probably too young to remember it).
Each Barbibrat had its own unique trait, Barbul was known for his scientific and engineering expertise. I am an engineer by profession hence my choice.
I have had the same avatar since post 300 and have no desire to change it.
My title I change once in a while, though I've had the current one for some time, and will keep it unless something more enticing presents itself.

Turner Oct 03, 2006, 08:20 AM Make it a cool one, like that Farside one, or the Coke one.
That farside one was hillarious. Completely inaccurate, but hillarious.
Godwynn Oct 03, 2006, 08:32 AM Godwynn, why is Kentucky missing?
That's what the United States Government classifies as "The North" If you have ever been to Kentucky, you know they are absolutely right.
Irish Caesar Oct 03, 2006, 09:19 AM Godwynn, how does one of the most corrupt presidents in American history radiate awesome?
Godwynn Oct 03, 2006, 10:53 AM Godwynn, how does one of the most corrupt presidents in American history radiate awesome?
He was a horrible president, but he was a Union General, and a good one at that. :) No where close to Sherman though.
Eran of Arcadia Oct 03, 2006, 12:37 PM I thought that those were the states that stayed in the Union, like I would never have classified WV as northern.
LLXerxes Oct 03, 2006, 02:28 PM Pete Ham is god
And pictured, Pete Ham.

Yes!
Who is Pete Ham?
And why is he god?
Godwynn Oct 03, 2006, 02:35 PM I thought that those were the states that stayed in the Union, like I would never have classified WV as northern.
I wouldn't either, but they did break away from Virginia during the civil war, so they can't be all bad. Kentucky was also in the union, but missing from that map.
skadistic Oct 03, 2006, 02:43 PM Maryland was illegaly kept in the union by that bastard Lincoln when he pointed his canons at our cities and jailed our represntatives. Dirty underhanded tactics.
Godwynn Oct 03, 2006, 03:03 PM Maryland was illegaly kept in the union by that bastard Lincoln when he pointed his canons at our cities and jailed our represntatives. Dirty underhanded tactics.

LLXerxes Oct 03, 2006, 05:16 PM Yes!
Who is Pete Ham?
And why is he god?
Pete Ham is the frontman of one of my favorite bands Badfinger (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Badfinger)
Plus he was a good person, an amazing songwriter/musician, and an advocate of peace.
And he's god because I said so.
Proof he's the one in the blue (http://youtube.com/watch?v=wSCcWThW4Xw)
