I'm trying to find a way to make roads/RRs also destructible by airforce. This make Bombers not only Strategic, but also a bit Tactical weapon. Cutting enemy cities off is vital for amphibious landings..

Lopez's Route Pillage mod might be adabtable to do this, of if not if might be extended to allow AirUnits to destory roads.

Hmmm... they can't destroy roads. That's wierd... I'll see what I can do.

It would be a relatively simple SDK change.
TheLopez, trying looking at CvUnit::airBomb() and CvUnit::canAirBombAt(). It only checks for improvements, you should be able to get it to check for route types as well.
Guess you already knew this though, but giving advice makes me feel important.

I am working on the route pillage mod right now... I'll add the code to do this before I release the new version.

Here's an idea, what about a new mission bomb route? The in CvUnit we can have airBombRoute and canAirBombRouteAt?

Do you guys like that idea? This way route destruction will be completely separate from pillaging and bombing.

Now that is a great idea. Keep pillaging separate.

I'd too support keeping Route Pillage and Bombing mod separately ;)

TheLopez, could you help me creating another mod? I tried to do it - but don't know how :( I can do it myself (as long as it includes XML modding only ;) ) Here's the direct copy of my post in Mod request thread:

Could somebody make a small mod for me that allows missionaries to conduct "destroy religion" mission? Chance of success should depend on religious civic (base chance - 25% with Free Religion/Paganism/Pacifism, 50% with Organised Religion, 75% Theocracy)

I am aware of existance of Inquisitor mod, but I want to keep changes as minimal as possible..

Thanks in advance ;)

I think this is a great idea, I miss being able to send in the bombers like in C3C and totally destroy their access to strategic resources. I think this is a great idea. Also naval bombardment should possibly be allowed to do the same, in destroying routes. Also I would like to see the navy able to fire longer distances like a Battleship should have a further fire range say two squares than a cruiser (1 square) as they are firing heavier shells at a higher velocity, similarly the Ticongera Class should be able to fire three squares as it is firing missiles. Also Battleships and Bombers should be able to have lethal bombardment on land and sea units.
