He is supposed to be a pretty boy swashbuckling pirate. Im not very happy with the current picture. Let me know if anyone can find a better picture that matches the current style (such as it is). Maniac Sep 08, 2006, 04:11 PM What's that game called again you got most of the leader pics from? TheBladeRoden Sep 08, 2006, 04:20 PM Will an Orlando Bloom pic do? Grey Fox Sep 08, 2006, 04:27 PM I'll see what I can do Kael. Do you want an Orc with a massive two hand sword aswell Kael? :p Grey Fox Sep 08, 2006, 05:17 PM I could also use a decent picture for Falamar. He is supposed to be a pretty boy swashbuckling pirate. Im not very happy with the current picture. Let me know if anyone can find a better picture that matches the current style (such as it is). what about this one? http://ic3.deviantart.com/images/i/a/3/6/Saffron_Skies.jpg if you cant see the picture click this link; http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/2776243/?qo=4&q=by%3Aazhrarn+sort%3Atime+-in%3Ascraps The creator is this guy; http://azhrarn.deviantart.com/ (thats his deviant art space) Chandrasekhar Sep 08, 2006, 05:30 PM The all-encompassing red X might represent my feelings towrads him quite well, but perhaps a humanoid is in order? :p Translation: I can't see the picture. Silverkiss Sep 08, 2006, 05:34 PM I dont even see the X :dunno: Grey Fox Sep 08, 2006, 05:38 PM Update: the picture can be found here: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/2776243/?qo=4&q=by%3Aazhrarn+sort%3Atime+-in%3Ascraps Chandrasekhar Sep 08, 2006, 05:46 PM Ah, nice. He looks the part. Too bad he isn't solo. Kael Sep 08, 2006, 05:49 PM what about this one? http://ic3.deviantart.com/images/i/a/3/6/Saffron_Skies.jpg if you cant see the picture click this link; http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/2776243/?qo=4&q=by%3Aazhrarn+sort%3Atime+-in%3Ascraps The creator is this guy; http://azhrarn.deviantart.com/ (thats his deviant art space) That guy is about perfect but it would be hard to rub out the people around him. I will have to see avout some creative chopping. Grey Fox Sep 08, 2006, 05:51 PM I could give it a go if you want. (I'll go make an attempt) Maniac Sep 08, 2006, 05:52 PM Ah, nice. He looks the part. Too bad he isn't solo. Well he's supposed to be a Don Juan. Kael Sep 08, 2006, 06:13 PM I could give it a go if you want. (I'll go make an attempt) Go for it. Xuenay Sep 08, 2006, 07:38 PM He IS surrounded by ladies in that picture, which I don't find all that unfitting... Of course, the most polite way would be just to contact the author and ask if they'd be willing to create a version without the extra characters. Bringa Sep 08, 2006, 08:11 PM Maybe you could ask the artist? I'm sure he has the original photoshop files still, seeing how this is a digital painting, and removing the guy from it should be very easy. Also, it'd be, like, proper and all to ask the artist for permission (even if it's just for a not-for-profit mod). I could ask him if you'd like me to; I have a dA account. Thats okay, its not a big deal to remove the women. Grey Fox Sep 08, 2006, 08:57 PM Thats okay, its not a big deal to remove the women. I'm almost halfway done! ^_^ Bad Player Sep 09, 2006, 08:40 AM I could give it a go if you want. (I'll go make an attempt) Could you just rub out the weapons the women are holding and that way make them look like his girlfriends? Grey Fox Sep 09, 2006, 09:31 AM Could you just rub out the weapons the women are holding and that way make them look like his girlfriends? I could do that aswell, but since I'm almost done with erasing the girls from the picture already, I should finish that first and see if people like the result. JanusTalaiini Sep 09, 2006, 10:24 AM Also, if you read the background story of the picture, the "she" on the left side holding the gun is actually a "he". ;) *edit* Upon further reading, it seems all three are male. I love it when artists include stories with their work! Moon Hunter Sep 09, 2006, 01:32 PM Will an Orlando Bloom pic do? That one gave me a hell of a laugh. Grey Fox Sep 09, 2006, 03:05 PM I'm done! http://forums.civfanatics.com/uploads/7968/pirate.jpg ( 50% size jpeg ) pirate.rar (1.1 mb) (http://forums.civfanatics.com/uploads/7968/pirate.rar) ( 24-bits BMP full size ) EDIT: oops, noticed I removed the ropes on the left side but not the right, well, tell me if you want em gone. Thats an amazing job. Im adding him right now. I wouldnt worry about the ropes until I get it cropped and then see how it looks. Kael Sep 09, 2006, 05:06 PM And I just got a very nice Orc Chariot model and skin from Toltec. It looks great, you will have a whole new reason to hate barbarian chariots. Chandrasekhar Sep 09, 2006, 05:45 PM Nice, that picture will look awesome in FfH. Bad Player Sep 10, 2006, 02:39 AM I'm amazed at how you got rid of the two women there - it looks as if that was the way the picture was drawn! What did you have to do? Was it manually done or did a computer program fix it? Jean Elcard Sep 10, 2006, 05:05 AM Great work! How many hours did you spend together with your good old pal photoshop? Grey Fox Sep 10, 2006, 06:17 AM I'm amazed at how you got rid of the two women there - it looks as if that was the way the picture was drawn! What did you have to do? Was it manually done or did a computer program fix it? Thanks, what I did was open the image in photshop, make a copy, increase the size of this copy 4 times. The image had 4800 pixels in height after this. Once I done that, I saved it, copied the part of the image that included the woman to the right and made a new temporary image. This to make the work smoother, since working on a large image can be slow for the computer. Then I started painting, copying parts, using clone tools. But mostly I just painted with a brush and used the blur tool. When I was done with that part, I did the same for the left side. Great work! How many hours did you spend together with your good old pal photoshop? I'm not sure how many hours total, since I didnt do it in one sitting, and I was surfing the internet while I was doing it and other stuff. A guess would be about 8 hours or so. QES Sep 10, 2006, 09:53 AM NICE WORK! -Qes Quetz Sep 16, 2006, 11:18 AM that is pretty damn amazing :O thomas.berubeg Sep 16, 2006, 12:29 PM it's hot. good work |
