Sorry if there are any mistakes, MS word's spellcheck can't catch all of them.

BTW I'm China.

It began with the War of the Three Kingdoms. France, the East Kingdom, was the weakest in the world. It was succeeded in strength by the South Kingdom of Persia, which was succeeded in strength by the North Kingdom of Inca, which was succeeded in strength by the Middle Kingdom of China. Recently the Chinese has begun a military reformation, with the advent of gunpowder and civil service, macemen as well as supporting musketmen, Cho-ko-nus, and horse archers, as well as myriad other troops types, made up their army. Their empire was split into two, centuries ago when French colonists took over a large portion of unsettled land between two small Chinese cities. Now, the Chinese wanted to unite the halves of their empire once more. They attacked the relatively well populated, but lightly defended cities there, capturing them quickly.

While the Chinese were consolidating their new holdings, and rechristening their conquered cities’ names as Xian and Changan, the Incas, once a friend of the French, fell upon their former allies, who they had neglected to help in their time of need, with treacherous savagery. They fell upon the city of Paris, and occupied it. They called for help from the Chinese, who were glad to oblige and gain yet more territory. After equipping their horsemen with rifles, they moved in on the city of Orleans, and upon its capture, it was renamed Nanchang. The Incas and Chinese then both fell upon the last French city of Lyons, but the Incans go their first.

With the elimination of France and the partitioning of their lands, and uneasy truce fell between the three remaining Kingdoms of the world: Persia, (who had not participated in the war) China, and Inca. As the industrial age dawned, Inca and China began an enormous arms race, totally leaving the weaker Persia in the dust. Their troops began retraining for new styles of warfare, far bloodier styles. The Incas were swifter to reach new technologies of war, but the Chinese followed suit quickly, and with their larger treasury, were able to re-equip many older regiments, like those still equipped with long- and crossbows.

Finally, the Day of Judgment came and the Incas reached the modern age. They immediately began to outpace the alarmed Chinese, who began to amass yet more troops in the hopes of impressing the Incans with strength in numbers, at least. Then, the catalyst arrived. Space Travel! The Incans began what became known as the “Apollo Project” infuriating the Chinese to no end.

The Chinese decided the time was ripe to destroy the Incans. They moved a large army of Cavalry, Artillery, and infantry to the border, and attacked and destroyed five cities, causing huge numbers of civilian casualties. They left a picket force of machine gunners and several regiments the newly created SAM missile trooper to stop occasional Incan raiders that attacked through the breach. The Chinese troops (as well as the Incans troops inside China) ravaged the countryside of Incaland, the breadbasket of their empire. The Incas brought to bear a full counterattack also, capturing the former city of Orleans, now Nanchang, on the opposite side of China. After a bloody battle and the defeat of the defenders, they then moved their secret weapon into China through their new supply depot. Tanks!

To be continued…. (when and if I have the time :mischief:)

Part 2

Tanks, the newest invention of the Incan scientists, began pouring on to China’s eastern front, forcing their troops to take shelter inside their cities, and demand more reinforcements to be sent their way. The Incans gleefully pillaged the area, but were by and large repulsed by the reinforcements, who set up defenses along the river that was the China-Inca border nearby, so that only a couple raiders could come in at a time.

The western front bogged down, and casualties mounted. Another, smaller force was sent to the south-west border, to attack Lyons and Paris. These were brutal sieges, and it took many years for the Chinese to quell the Incan resistance in that area.

Finally, the Chinese front line began to move once more, as Incan manpower faltered. China sacked several more cities, but were being constantly ambushed by rocket attacks from all directions. The last few Incan raiders inside the western border of China were killed, and the Incan cities began a guerrilla campaign- utilizing Elephants, coupled with Rocket Troops, to whittle down the main Chinese army.

Right when things were looking up for China, with the repulsion of occupying forces in and around the captured city of Nanchang. However, a new threat loomed. Incan Marines began to replace the Rocket Troops as the staple of the resistance. Infinitely more dangerous, these Marines could do serious damage to the Chinese forces inside Incaland, who still relied heavily of Cavalry shock troops to be the vanguard of their armies.

It was only with the advent of flight that the war began to wind down. Brand new Chinese helicopters replaced the Cavalry, easily destroying most of the resistance. Two occupied cities- one on either side of Cuzco, the last Incan city- filled with fighter planes, which bombarded the city day and night. The Chinese had finally discovered the secret to tanks, and these behemoths ruled the conquered Incan lands. Finally, after nearly 30 years of fighting, the Incan empire crumbled.

But it was not over yet. Even as the Chinese rebuilt their new, shattered territory, the Persians acquired the plans to the Apollo project from Incan defectors. The Chinese tried desperately to catch up, but in the end, however, when it seemed too late, China unlocked the power of the atom while on its quest to find a propulsion system for their craft. This gave them significant leverage over the Persians. Chinese spies orchestrated coups in Persian border cities, creating a bulwark against the Persian army. Nuclear war was approaching.

At the very last second, however, on the eve of the final plans for war, the most unexpected thing imaginable happened. A Chinese victory! The Persians had no desire to start a new war with the Chinese, after witnessing from the sidelines the brutality of their conquest of Incaland. They would recognize China as the dominant power on the earth, if war could be averted. China won by a (at the very end, at least) peaceful domination victory.

The End

So, there were only 4 nations on this map? I personally prefer right around 12 on normal maps, but have fallen in love with a mod that has 24 nations on it.

Anyway, the story is very exciting and action packed. I had plans to only read one of the posts, but couldn't help myself and went ahead and read both.

The only thing I'd like to see in future stories is a touch more detail.

Yeah, only four, and on a a small size pangaea map, temperate. It was only my second full game on noble, so I wanted to keep it rather small so I could manage my enemies better.

Thanks, I will keep that in mind.
