View Full Version : C3C Mod Crashing

I recently decided I needed to change up the graphics and so went to download the Watercolor Terrain mod as its very sexy.

I download the Civ 3 version originally, and install it in the Conquests Terrain Folders. Whoops. Fortunatley, I made backups before hand. I restore everything, then put the files in their proper place in the Civ 3 art folders. Unfortunatley, Conquests wouldn't start. Its then I discover there is a conquests specific version. Download that, and replace all the files. However, Conquest still will not start up; I click on the link and the page looks like it is going to load, but then it crashes back to the desktop.

Regular Civ III works fine, and even has the watecolor mod working for it, but I can't seem to get Conquests working with the watercolor terrain mod.

Thanks in advance.

Reinstall Conquests. That should overwrite the Watercolor Mods with the default files. Then try reinstalling the Watercolor mod again.

I appreciate the advice, but unfortunatley it wont work. The Watercolor Mod is installed in the Civ III art folder so it will be untouched by reinstalling conquests. Infact, I already have and I still can't run it.

In addition to City and Terrain art being replaced, there is also a file in the mod, resources.pcx, that gets replaced as well. I think that might be the problem but I am definatley no technical expert so...

But again, thanks for the advice.

Well, I don't use that mod, so I'm not to informed on it.

I would ask this question in the Watercolor mod thread. That would probably get you a better response.
