I felt the original logo was too cluttered with pictures and, well to be frank, it had a feeling of not being finished.
So I decided I would have a go at making a new one.

So, do you like it? Do you perhaps want the religion icons back? etc...
Please come with opinions and suggestions so I can improve it.

Although your logo definitely has "cool" factor.

I think it should probably have Civ4 on it somewhere, but I do like your tidy version better, by a hair.

TBH, I think the current main screen background is looks very unpolished and the picture background is too grainy. I'd suggest a mural-looking design, considering the amount of other images embedded within the background, with the "Fall for Heaven" logo superimposed on a giant "II" just like the Civ4 logo.

Civ4 is an incredible game, but it is an even more incredible game engine.

For a casual player Civ4 is a better game than FfH, its not even close. Hard core gamers like us may prefer FfH, but we aren't Firaxius's main demographic (or we are but they assume we will be involved in mods more than the core game).

Our challenge is to keep all of the fun features we are adding into FfH and make it as accessible to new players as vanilla Civ4 is.

While they may be good programmers, they suck as strategy game designers IMO.

The logo looks decent. It just needs a little tweaking.

The N in heaven is problematic, how it literally falls off the edge of the ruling line. The other breaks you have in the line (the R and M are more natural) perhaps you could find another letter in Heaven which you can use to break the line.

That's my designer's two cents.

I'd like to see a version where the M doesn't break the ruling line as well. Can you generate a number of different comps for me and have then on my desk sometime tomorrow? Thanks. ;) The problem is the rest of the letters do such a nice job with the ruling line. Are you using an actual font, with alternate letters or doing the work by hand?

Also fix the kerning between the F-A in Fall and the A-V in Heaven.

That font looks familiar somehow and frankly, I don't like it. It's too serious, too sober. The font used in the Fall from Heaven II thread in the Modpacks forum looks best IMO. And the religion icons were a nice touch too.
