There are places that would have a problem with celebrating something on the 25th, specifically....

But Pirates...everyone loves pirates! (with the possible exceptions of the MPAA, and the RIAA)

Well, you said international, and the context indicated that you simply meant more than one nation celebrates it. Shrug. I don't claim to know of any *Global* holidays, but for TLAPD to be so, there would have to be a pirate dialect of every language. Heh, that would be quite interesting.

Following random video links from that tutorial, I came across an apparently bottomless well of movies about pirates fighting ninjas, some of which were actually pretty well produced, and kinda funny. But why are there so goddamn many?? It seems many people have way way too much time on their hands...

I dont get it... pirates, vs ninjas? Everyone knows the pirate would win...

You know, it really depends on where they're fighting. On a ship, the pirate has a good chance of winning. In an urban area, or a forest at night time, the ninja wins hands down.

My bet goes on the ninja in any terrain, setting, daytime, etc.

True, but a pirate has style.

Well, that goes without saying. Even if you don't think the ninja would win, if that ninja knows you bet against him, and he wins the fight, you'd be dead very shortly.
