1. Let's say you have a SAM unit fortified in a tile. The unit description states that is has a range of 1. Does that mean that it protects all the 8 tiles around it from aircraft attack. Or is it only protecting the tile it's standing on?

2. Same question but regarding Fighters. Do they only protect the city they're patrolling, or do they protect all of the 10 tile radius of their range?

3. Also can a SAM unit intercept an aircraft multiple times during one turn? Can a Fighter?

Thanks

One more question. Can an air unit be intercepted on a Rec flight mission?

1. it protects the tiles around it as well, but it can only intercept one aircraft per turn

2. i honestly don't know, but i have had my bombers intercepted by fighters, even when attacking a city without fighters in them

3. only one intercept per turn.

4. it never happened to me
