Like in the Rood and the Dragon mod. Plotinus says he doesnīt remember the specifics of it, only that he used LM terrain, which I have never used before. Does anybody know how to do it?

Go into C:\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\Civilization III\Conquests\Art\Terrain. Any .pcx with an LM prefix is Limited Terrain; simply replace those files in your mod / scenario equivalent folder with whatever you'd like.

I´ll give it a try and tell you in a couple of hours... thanks in advance for now! I plan to use it in a homemade Fall Of Rome mod -as Hadrian´s Wall and limes-, with bigger map and stuff, may even upload itin a couple months...

Sounds like a good project - good luck with it! :)

Are you talking about something like this:

Who? me? of course, but I already have the thing from R&D... and I´ll see what I can do...
One more question: where do I change the movement penalty for the LM Walls?

Go to the terrain tab in the editor. The stats for the LM terrain are with the "regular" terrain of the same type, on the right side of the screen.

Yeah, just use like LM volcanoes or something. I'm using LM terrain for the Star Wars mod, and it works great.

Yesterday night I came up with a nice idea: I will use two types of walls, one for the main wall, which wheeled and mounted units cannot pass through (but no roads then ;)), and one for gates, which have lower defense and do allow roads, horses, elephants and wheels, so they´re main checkpoints... tell me what you think. If you think, of course :p

Cogito ergo sum :p Just don't forget that No Roads = No Commmerce. AND the "Impassable" / "Impassable By Wheeled Units" flags apply to BOTH the "Regular" and "Landmark" terrain.

Oz

I´ll use swamps as the impassable terrain. And the "no roads" makes sense, since, how can you trade through a wall? And it also makes control of trade routes -i.e. the gates- more tempting, since they´ll have 8 gold each...
Cogito ergo sum :p:nope: You can´t think if you don´t exist...

You canīt think if you donīt exist...

Granted, but one can sadly exist and not think:sheep: - Just curious -- there's no connection here with your new choice in avatar, I trust?

Eeeeeehhhhh... what, me think?
No, not really. I think a lot these days. I have nothing else to do and only a handful of friends in R/L, though that doesn´t bother me at all... so, back to the avatar, I have been reading some of the MAD books this weekend because I was forced to stay at home ´cos of flu.

I need a bit of help:
http://img127.imageshack.us/img127/5721/prevlh2.th.jpg (http://img127.imageshack.us/my.php?image=prevlh2.jpg)
The one above is for LM Hills.
The one below is for LM Mountains.
They´ve exactly the same picture. Anybody got any clues?

the hills file is smaller than the mountains file heightwise?

Not to be too pedantic, but is it possible you put the same graphics in two places?

Yep, LM-mountain tiles are either 12 or 24 pixels taller than the LM-hills file. Just like regular mountains & hills

Yes, you have to change the pcx. Copy the mountain tiles from that pcx, and hope like hell that they fit the smaller space. If not you have to improvise/use your Photoshop-fu skillz.

Or, I can make a formal request (which I crossposted with you) and also ask for a "gate" terrain to be made.
