Spartan117 Oct 02, 2006, 12:32 AM Trenches?...interesting. A good start would be to "teach" AI to ue forts though. s.c.dude Oct 02, 2006, 07:07 PM maybe make the ai make trenches whenever there is a gap 1 tile wide more than that would require big code Splinter13 Oct 03, 2006, 06:03 AM I really would like to see ww1 style trenches. Any trenches for that matter would be great. What would you be looking for the AI to do ket? Would the AI be really similar to the AI of sending troops to a fort and having them hold up in there? Or would you have your own custimized AI? I don't believe it would be too hard to work on. But that all depends on what you are looking. I would love to see this, but sadly i can't help you, never programmed anything. Only one idea, if you can make it work you could maybe later implement a "trench-wolf", a specialized caterpillar which can do it in no time. |
