Hi all,
first of all, i would like to say firaxis made a great game. I have been loyal to civilization game since it was only civilization II. that was a long time ago. anyway guys, i am wondering if you too have the same problem as I am. During the civilization IV warlords game, it suddenly appears Civilization runtime error, it can't continue to play the game? and it just quit the programme and my desktop just re-appear. I have played the game for quite some time, and i am in the peak of my civilization, with the world map already open. Did my computer just overloaded or something? or my computer does not have enough capacity to run the game, however if that is the case, then why i can play it smoothly during the beginning era up to modern era with no problem? I wish you guys can help me, cause this game is awesome and it just gets me frustrated unable to finish it. Oh, i have a graphic card GeForce MX ATI 128mb and 512mb of RAM (FYI). Your response would be highly appreciated. Cheers...

uh, could you check your video card again please, Geforce is a NVidia brand, AFAIK ATI have never produced one.

thanks for your reply Doomed_UK... appreciate it. I have looked into my video card, and it says NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200. does it sufficient to play the civ game? uhm.. when i install the civ game, it doesn't tell me any about the system requirement aye..

The whole FX line of Nvidias was a bit of a dogs ear, and the 5200 was the bottom of the line, but it should be good enough to play.

Does the crash occur when you, or another civ moves from one era to another that may involve the updating of alot of the city and tile graphics?

yes, i have lots of cities, and the other civs as well and i think its very much involve with updating so many tiles and cities. See i am in modern era, and when the crash happend if i play the game for an hour or so and i am ending my turn. with the world map is revealed. any suggestions?

You have tried with all the graphic options set to the lowest setting?

yes i have, the resolution too its already the lowest setting at 1024 x 768.
