Hi guys i'm new, bought civ 4 a couple of months back and installed it and everything seamed fine except it kept freezing on one of the loading screens. So i didn't bother trying to play it for a while and i recently got a new computer screen and i decided to try it again to see if it would work. But this time it doesn't go far it just says it (cannot locate correct DVD-Rom, please insert correct DVD-Rom and continue) but i only ever received 1 disk and it got pretty far into it before it used to freeze. I don't what's goin on. Could anybody please help.

try cleaning the disk gently.
check if there's a new firmware available for your dvd drive.

I'm having the same problem. I've completed about 10 games. I never take the disc out. Never any troubles. I save and exit my current game to eat dinner. When I try to start up an hour later, I get the " Insert the correct CD..." message. What's up?
