I can't load any autosave file.
It crashes during loading time, with this message :
"cannot load uncompressed data" or something like this...
I would really appreciate any help....

This message comes up only with one (autosaved) game. It must be corrupted.
However i can' t load any other autosave. When i click any (autosaved) file, its just bring me back to the Civ4 main menu and nothing else happens.....
Any help, please?

Thanks for replying,
yes i can save manually and i can load noraml save games.....
There is no problem with normal saves....
So, i can play civ4, but i have to manually save very frequently.....
I didn't know that autosaving had problem. I found that out, when suddently my log-term epic game crashed due to "virtual memory allocation problem" - that' another problem (xe xe xe) - and i hadn't saved for a long time...

Virtual memory allocation problem, hmm. Something sucks with your virtual memory settings, i.e. the swap file, a.k.a. paging file.
Right-click My Computer, Properties, Advanced tab, Performance - Settings, Advanced tab, Virtual Memory - Change.
Set it to system managed size. Make sure that there's enough room on the disk.

Yes, let windows manage its virtual memory. It is faster on my 3dbenchmark too.
