I was looking at the history list for the 1.17g patch and I noticed one of the items is: 'Screenshot code works more reliably with more than one screenshot.' Seems to me there is a code to take a screenshot in Civ 3. I can't seem to find any documentation on this. Can anyone tell me if there is such a function and how to use it?

Thanks,

Mike

I've never used/heard of one. I use command+shift+4 then drag with control and it works well :)

Civ III hijacks cmd-shift-3. You'll hear the camera click, and your whole screen will be in a file in the Civ III folder. It'll be in PICT format, so you'll need something to change it to JPEG.

Since Appleworks came with my Mac, I just pull the screen into a (very important) *paint* file, cut out what I want, and drop it into a *drawing* file, and save as JPEG.

Thanks for your replies. I tried them out. Apparently cmd shift 3 works to take a full screen pic. I saves it as a tiff file which opens in Preview under OS X.

The strange thing is that cmd shift 4 seems like it should work. It creates a cursor and I can drag across the screen, creating a black box. Releasing the mouse; I hear a click. I get a Pict file that is just black of the size of the box.

Weird.

Again thanks for your help.
