Unrest can be an issue in planning your empire. Moreover, it can be a financial issue, too. There is a website that has a javascript which can computer an "optimum" location for your capital in a standard RTW campaign map, based on what you have (or want to take). It can save time of "trial and error" if you use the move-capital-and-check-the-results method.

This map can also be used to figure unrest in reverse... you select the location(s) that have a given amount of unrest, and it will compute a location of capital for you.
