I'm having trouble getting a unit that does "ActAsRanged" to stand still during battle in Warlords. Let's say I had a tower that I wanted to stand still and not move at all when it was attacked by an enemy ... how would I do this? Currently whenever an enemy attacks my unit it rotates in a wierd manner, which is very silly for what should be a static structure lodged in the ground.
I don't recall having this issue for vanilla civ, so is this a Warlords bug or did I just miss it the first time around? In any case, does anybody know how I could cut off all movement and "twitching" from a unit's animations to make it remain completely still, all the time?

I'm sure somebody knows the answer to this question. If you do, please reply! Any help would be appreciated.

If you don't want any animation during battle just delete MD_RangedStrike.kf and Hurt file.

Thanks for your reply sharick, but the only things I have in the folder containing the unit graphics are the .nif and .dds files ...

Not good. That means that all animations are included in the file.
You could try disabling all animations in XML (CIV4ArtDefines_Unit.xml) but that would disable all of them. I think you only need to edit this line: <KFM>Art/Units/unit/unit.kfm</KFM>
If not open your unit with NifView or NifSkope and see what you can do with it. I never did it but if people are able to add animations this way maybe you can delete them too.

That's the thing though, the person that made the model for me did not make any animations; just the model. I think that CIV4 is making it "twitch" and move during battle, although I didn't notice this until WARLORDS. I don't want ANY movement whatsoever, I just want the thing to remain still!

Ok, I know how to fix it, but you need 3ds max. If you don't have it just send the unit to me.
