View Full Version : Nominations for President eyrei Mar 27, 2002, 08:55 AM I nominate Zachriel, though he hasn't said he would play yet. Shaitan Mar 27, 2002, 08:57 AM I nominate Grey Fox. Authoritative, imaginative and excellent managment skills. I've been playing a succession game with him and I can vouch for his abilities. Knight-Dragon Mar 27, 2002, 09:02 AM This is going to be a toughie. Esp when players don't really know each other or even heard of each other. We need someone fr the old Civ2 demo game who can play Civ3 as well to set things off. You know - show how things are done. Heck, we are even in the process of reorganisation at the other game. Duck, how shall we proceed fr here? TheDuckOfFlanders Mar 27, 2002, 09:09 AM We need someone fr the old Civ2 demo game who can play Civ3 as well to set things off. I would like somebody to with some political experience from the CivII game ,but it's not tottaly nessecary. Duck, how shall we proceed fr here? We gona take some time to set everything up.I gona post a updated rule's thread (aka constitution) ,and post a explenation thread on the Dynamic's of the Demo game etc. Meanwhile we are forming the first term cabinet and holding poll's on various thing's we need to know prior to beginning the game. I'm getting a nice warm feeling inside... oh yeah. :) Anyway, thanks! If I become president the Military Leader possition should be free, and IF I would become President I nominate Charis as Military leader TheDuckOfFlanders Mar 27, 2002, 09:30 AM If I become president the Military Leader possition should be free, and IF I would become President I nominate Charis as Military leader I would have no problem appointing you as President ,a i think youre quilified for it.So make up youre final decission as to go for president or for Millitary leader. I have to think about it for some minutes... Could you post the rules and how to play, so I can read it all. I think I have read some before but I'm not 100% on everything. At this moment I'm more for President then Military Leader. And if I can get hold of Charis I will apoint him as Military Leader as my first thing done as a President (If I can do such things). Cyc Mar 27, 2002, 11:05 AM it's good to be king. congrats, grey fox. or is this pre-mature? eyrei Mar 27, 2002, 11:07 AM Originally posted by Cyc it's good to be king. congrats, grey fox. or is this pre-mature? Duck said he would choose the first president, but seeing as he has voice support for Grey Fox, he will probably be our first president. I am actually looking forward to playing without actually playing.:goodjob: Grey Fox Mar 27, 2002, 11:15 AM Originally posted by eyrei Duck said he would choose the first president, but seeing as he has voice support for Grey Fox, he will probably be our first president. (Well that's my vote anyway) Pggar Mar 27, 2002, 01:30 PM The prez nominees must have good starting and micro management skills, and must know how to use the chatroom and how to post pictures in the forum. Preferably, they should be able to do it fast. I'm assuming we're going to start the game with chat turns, and the second city will probably be built in the first chat turn, so you should be able to post the map as you're playing so we can decide where it'll be built. If we're not going to use chat turns from the start, you can forget about everything I said. eyrei Mar 27, 2002, 01:35 PM Originally posted by Pggar I'm assuming we're going to start the game with chat turns, and the second city will probably be built in the first chat turn, so you should be able to post the map as you're playing so we can decide where it'll be built. If we're not going to use chat turns from the start, you can forget about everything I said. The president will probably post a screen shot on the first turn, and then every 10 turns after that. The problem with requiring chats is that it may not be possible to set up because of peoples different schedules and time zones. That's me in a nutshell. Pggar Mar 27, 2002, 01:51 PM Originally posted by eyrei The problem with requiring chats is that it may not be possible to set up because of peoples different schedules and time zones. Thatīs indeed a problem, but having some people playing (the ones who can go to the chat) with the prez is better than leaving the president alone with all the decisions to make. eyrei Mar 27, 2002, 01:59 PM I believe we could make it so the pres had a good deal of guidance before each turn, and if something truly unexpected came up, he would stop, and consult with the cabinet, at least, if not the entire populace. Pggar Mar 27, 2002, 02:02 PM Originally posted by Grey Fox That's me in a nutshell. From the SGs I know that's true. I just want to be sure that you know that being prez is not always fun. :D TheDuckOfFlanders Mar 27, 2002, 05:17 PM From the SGs I know that's true. I just want to be sure that you know that being prez is not always fun. Well a lot has changed Pggar ,you should check the civII demo game.he has much more to say now ,and less work to do. That's me in a nutshell. And therefore you are my chosen one to be the president. ;) russia1292000 Apr 02, 2002, 04:06 PM I vote for grey fox Shaitan Apr 02, 2002, 06:33 PM Originally posted by russia1292000 I vote for grey fox A tad late, but I'm sure Grey Fox appreciates the support. ;) Chieftess Apr 02, 2002, 11:30 PM I also nominate Grey(t) Fox. :) I've seen some of his SG posts. |
