* Geography is the most fundamental factor in foreign policy because it is the most permanent."

—from The Geography of the Peace.

the uu unit should not be pre-made? I mean....I mean..... the type or ability of the uu should be based on the geographical location and the combat pattern in each single game.

if the starting location in a game is a island, the uu most possibilty is a sea unit or something related to it, not a horse or cannon
...... i hope someone understand what i am talking about..................:mischief:

Yeah, makes sense but I'd be worried you'd see exploits. UUs are balanced alongside UBs and traits to make civs all have strengths and weaknesses. I'd be worried that by being able to pick and choose too many civ features you'd see people put togther uber combos that unbalance the game.

I think a uu point system may limit the unit too powerful. For example, if the player make 10 warriors he get 1 point on foot unit or he attack the enemy by horse unint he may get 1 point on horse unit... etc. As a result player can make his uu depend on his decision. and the unit reflect the player style of the player.

I don`t see the point. In civ4 everyone may adapt their units to their own style of play through the use of promotions.
