My Fav Civ! Hate having to research Bronze Working now, and industrius is handy through out the game PLUS it gives early acsess to Pyrimids

Seriously though, I've always found civs with UUs that come later to be more effective. With Germany you need to build both
Sun Tzu's and Leonardo's.
Both are in my opinion the best wonders. So if we aim for them anyways, then we get our Golden Age in the middle ages after we've expanded and have over 30 cites. Free techs in every era is nice too.

You get Free Techs with Persians too :D (and Babs but we don't care about them non-industrialists :p ) And Immortals come in nice and handy if we meet a Shaka early on....

For those people who don't know the civs traits by heart:

Babylonians - Bowman (2/2/1) - Scientific & Religious

Germans - Panzer Tank (16/8/3) - Militaristic & Scientific

Persians - Immortal (4/2/1) - Scientific & Industrious

Romans - Legion (3/3/1) - Militaristic & Commercial

I'm going to choose either Persia or Babylon. I would love to play with the religious ability, but I haven't made my mind up yet.

Edit: Sorry for the Immortal thing. :crazyeye:

I see that the common thread between the four is Militaristic and Scientific. Gee, if only we could combine the two.... :)

And has everyone found problems with the instruction books and Prima Startergy guides?
In the instruction book it says the Romans are Industrious + Milataristic while in the Prima guide it says the Germans are expansionist and commercial....... :confused: obviously a few last minute changes were made......

the strategy guides were written a long time before the game was released, so changes were made after it had been published.

All four are fairly close.

After reading the ending to the other thread and poll and since we are starting on Monday this should be it.
So whatever happens happens and we'll just have to live with whatever. There's four choices most of the time in US politics and even more in most other countries. Everyone has to live with what happens. (Bush in the US, Cretien in Canada)
