Anaztazioch Nov 23, 2006, 11:02 AM So far i know full reinstall fixed this for me and Walter Hawkwood. You dont get a "green light" for playing multiplayer from me, but it seems it works Raider62 Nov 23, 2006, 11:04 AM hmmm never installed it before, so it was a "fresh install" of the full mod. And about 20 turns in OSS error. Any idea's? Thanks for response... Mexico Nov 23, 2006, 12:54 PM hmmm never installed it before, so it was a "fresh install" of the full mod. And about 20 turns in OSS error. Any idea's? Thanks for response... PBEM/Hot Seat game is working, but on-line mutiplayer is broken: some mod components (at least mercenary mod cause OOS - confirmed from merc mod thread) ericos Nov 24, 2006, 03:25 AM so it wont be patched?? Anaztazioch Nov 24, 2006, 07:16 AM Be prepared for it. Eighther its WTR incopatibility with some mod components. Or that componets werent made to be used in multiplayer. If thats the case, unless Mexico get source he can do little about it. ericos Nov 24, 2006, 10:21 PM thats sad... i play this game only in multiplayer mode... Anaztazioch Nov 25, 2006, 07:58 AM Just wait. Mexico (one man debug team) may pin the problem down. If it will get that mercenary mod the problem, than just report this bug to merc mod creator(s). Also there is a chance that Merc mod has a newer version and it is compatibile with multiplayer. Chedric Jan 06, 2007, 08:11 AM Is there a way to simply disable the Merc mod or other components one at a time to figure out where the OOS error is? I, too, was interested in playing this mod on LAN, but got an OOS error early in which pretty much kills enthusiasm. Edit: I decided to try setting Game Turn Mercenary Creation = false in the Mercenaries Mod Config.ini to see if it has an impact(false means mercs are created on player turn start rather than game turn start). Only time will tell. Chedric Jan 06, 2007, 09:17 AM Well that didn't work. 10 turns in as soon as a warrior gets created and moved out of the city the OOS starts popping. I exited/rejoined one machine to fix the sync and a few turns later when I promoted a newly made warrior(city defense) the OOS returned. I rejoined again, back to the beginning of the turn(before the promotion), promoted to city defense again, and no OOS error. Err... until the next turn hit. Rather sporadic. Mexico Jan 06, 2007, 06:42 PM you can try install TR for Warlords without mercenaries (this option is disabled by default) - try this ( i can't do this, because of lack of time) |
