No, this isn't spam.
GameRanger 4.6 now supports Intel Macs with its router-bypassing technology for Intel-native games. Previously, this was only supported for PowerPC Macs.
For Civ IV, this meant that Intel Mac users could have problems joining or hosting games. It's not that there were bugs on the Intel side, rather that on the PowerPC side, users did not have to configure their routers.. which naturally made it tougher for the Intel users.
Not so anymore, GameRanger should be the easiest way to connect with Civ IV now.
