Hi Rhye. Just wanted to let you know that I am really loving your Warlords ed. of Rhyes and Fall of Civilization. Just an idea for the next version, though. TheLopez developed a fantastic mod which allowed access to resources influence the tech research rate. So, for instance, you could have access to copper reduce the research rate of bronze working, or have stone reduce the research rate of masonry. Now obviously the appearance of some resources and worker abilities would need to be altered to account for this, but I think it would really improve the overall realism of the game IMO. Also, have you considered moving Engineering so it appears when it actually SHOULD within the game? Also, I am thinking that the appearance of Hinduism and Bhuddism should be staggered more, with Meditation perhaps requiring a combo of Polytheism and Monarchy.
Oh and, lastly, I was wondering if you could upload the changed SDK files for your mod. You have some fantastic new concepts, and I would love to see how you achieved them.

These are all grand suggestions but I had always assumed Buddhism gets founded over 2,000 years earlier for gameplay reasons.

At the moment you get Buddhism by Priesthood.

About that resource-research thing, it would just make civs with many resources stronger and civs with fewer resources weaker.

I think a slightly later budhism with a higher spread rate might not be a bad thing, what year was it historically founded in? I know that it had reached greace before the roman invasion so it cant be that late...

Buddhism was founded in about 600BC. It could spawn later, but have, say, 2 missionaries.

that and/or a faster spread rate to help it reach japan...

Pushing the founding date back would also make the "Found Hinduism and Buddhism" goal a little less straightforward.

i agree with this, i don't feel it necessary

as for buddhism, it's currently moved in that position to make it easily reachable by Indian AI without hardwiring. Change this, and it will always be found elsewhere
