I was just wondering... I made a gamespy account. I can also log in on http://www.gamespyid.com using that id. However, to log in I use an e-mail address. If I want to log in on gamespy within Civ4, I can't use special characters like '@' in my gamespy-id... :confused:

Can anyone help me here?

The easiest thing to do is to just create a new GameSpy account via Civ4. I've never messed around with their website and have always created any accounts I've needd through the lobby.

I tried what MookieNJ suggested and I was able to get into the internet multiplayer.

My problem was I put in the log in name that worked on the gamespy website and the password and nothing would happen.

Thru CIV4 is the way to go with this.

If you've used Gamespy in the past and couldn't get it to work initially through civ4, and even tried to fix it through the Gamespy website, just create a totally new email account somewhere and Create a new account through CIV4. That fixed things for me.
