There seems to be a consensus on this board that the Update Software function in Warlords for Mac downloads the Windows patch, which of course does not work. Actually, you don't have to look for the update -- Mac-Warlords automatically prompts me to download the patch everytime I turn it on, so I wasted a fair amount of time yesterday repeatedly downloading this 67meg file. If I understand correctly Mac users have to just cancel out of the invitation until a Mac patch comes out, maybe in a few months. Do I have this right?

Correct, and even then you'll probably need to download the mac pacth for Warlords from a third party - like macgamefiles.com. Aspyr may have the in-game update feature point to the mac patch.

I don't get that when I start up, though if I select it manually I see the windows update. From the main menu I would select Advanced and then Options to see if you can turn auto checking for that off. I can't check at the moment to see if I see anything like that.

I don't think that the in game update will work for the next patch, it is looking at the wrong place. But that should be fixed in the next patch, which you'll have to get from Aspyr.

I don't see this automatic prompt, either. I wonder what triggers it :confused:
