Twenty two teams set out in August to avenge the cold blooded murder of Tokugawa's brother's family by conquering the world. Sixteen teams achieved this objective, two teams settled for peaceful, victorious ends to the game, three teams retired, and one team even allowed the murderous assassins to escape in a Spaceship.

The laurels for the fastest conquests go to:

The Wooden Spoons are awarded for the lowest scoring finish, which was achieved by The Real Ms. Beyond with a brilliantly conceived plan to let the international gang of criminals escape in a spaceship and blow themselves up on the way to Alpha Centauri. History may yet tell us whether this ploy will succeed.

The Wooden Spoon! I thought we would be the runner-up :)

I knew that Compromise's perseverance in this game would pay off. We won something!... but should we be proud? ;)

Congratulations to CFR, Peanut and Team One! Good work!

Yes, yes, this is exactly what our plan was

Brilliant! Well done all the team, and I love AlanH's description of the results.

Just to check - for those of us competing in SGOTM03 - we are still allowed to look at any team's SGOTM02 threads, aren't we?

Of course. Team threads are only out of bounds if you are in another team that's still playing in the same game, and the game hasn't finished. SGOTM 2 is over, and all the teams have finished or stopped playing.

Congrats to all the winners!!
I will definately make time one way or the other to read your threads and try to learn.

I'm also proud that we finished 9th in our first try in a SGOTM. :)

Congrats to CFR for a truly scary finish date!! I can see how we might have got close to the 1500's finish dates of the chasing pack but 1200's

But most of all thanks to the organisers for a truly
Balanced (unless you have the "luck" of Fubar  )
Different &
Fun game.
