ok it comits the ileagal operation like in the middle of my turn or at the beginning it usualy starts about 7 minutes into the game. whats rong? someone care to fill me in

well civ3 has many bugs. try exiting ALL programs but Explorer and Systray using Control-Alt-Delete. Then if it doesn't work, check your game. Try reinstalling your patch (1.16f or 1.17f) or the whole game. If that doesn't work, try chcecking what youre dsoing. If every time you try and build a swordsman, it crashes, then youre in trouble. It then has something to do with something else.
