Does anyone know where I can get a completely free program that converts .avi files to itunes format or .mp4?

Yeah it doesn't look like it does .avi and also it needs to be for Windows. Every single program I've looked at you have to pay for.

I am looking for something that can convert video clips like .flc and .wov into .avi or somethnig that I can put on my Zen ision: M.

You might try looking at the videolan (http://www.videolan.org/) and mplayer (http://www.mplayerhq.hu/) projects. I've also heard that avidemux (http://fixounet.free.fr/avidemux/), which has a nice user interface, has been working on mp4 support.

EDIT: A good place to start when you are looking for any free software is sourceforge. (www.sourceforge.net) Not much there is Linux only, there are quite a few projects to be found there that are trying to break people's dependence on Windows one app at a time.

Works well, thoguh it mgiht be my conenction, but the 1st two tiems I downlaoded the result it was broken but the 3rd try worked!
