The screenshots! I wasn't sure whether or not to do a direct image link so I decided to take the safe way out and just have you guys click on them! :O

Try changing it to center, then hit OK. Then go back and change it to stretch again. That sometimes works.

Try resetting the desktop background. Just choose none and then set it to that background again. If that doesnt work just center it and be happy, or find a bigger version of the picture

No, it's not the fact that the background is too small. It's far, far larger than my desktop. That might have been misleading, so I shall apologize.

Also, centering/stretch also does not work.

As I said, try resetting it, also try resizing your desktop, setting that as the background, then resizing it back to original size.

I've tried resizing my desktop too, sadly. It doesn't have any effect.

Does the same thing happen with other pictures?
