Ever sat arround in a Real Time Strategy game, and sat aghast as your unitsperformed wave after wave of silly AI screwups? Ever thought that if you were in his/her/it's shooes, that things would have gone better?

Savage is a fairly straightforeward Fantasy RTS, with Technologicaly-skilled humans against Super-strong beasts, but each combat (non-worker) unit is controlled by a player, in First/Third person shooter style. Base building, resource gathering, and player movements can are co-ordinated by one player who takes on the position of Commander, who must see to defending a central building and develloping new weapons for the fighting players to wield.

The fighters can also chip in on the production sude of things, chipping away at mining, helping put buildings togeather, and being generally usefull for the team. In addition, fighters can gain experience, raising in level as the battle rages on to gain little extras to aid them in the field.

It all fits togeather pretty well, I highly recommend it.

Sounds like exactly what the World of Warcraft battlegrounds should have been!

Really gotten into the game so far, running arround a crazy human nomad. Nothing between me and the wilderness but an Axe and my trust repeater.

sounds curious.. a game i want to play and imagined with my cousin years and years ago.. wondering how long it would take for computers to get that far... this could be for me!

I beta-tested this game a while back and it was an enjoyable experience. I think I'll download it again now that it's free. :)

I recently got into it as well. A very fun game, but i find combat to be quite tricky.
